[Hakuoki] A Crane Among the Cherry Blossoms

One cold autumn night, the wind swept across the pond, scattering the red jade shadows of water chestnuts and lotuses. The smartweed blossoms and water-chestnut leaves were heavy with sorrow, weighed down by thick dew and frost upon their slender stems. The sound of a long day's chess was nowhere to be heard, and spots of swallow's mud sullied the chessboard. The ancients cherished partings and pitied their friends; how much more so when I now face the loss of a brother.
