Lin Zeyan has a secret: whenever Gu Ningxi gets hurt, he feels pain; whenever she's sad, his heart aches.
The problem is, the person he hates most in the world is Gu Ningxi.
He backs her into a corner and threatens her with a dagger. "Gu Ningxi, if you ever hurt Ye Kaixin again, I'll kill you!"
Gu Ningxi thrusts out her chest, unafraid. "Go ahead! If you don't mind the pain, then kill me!"
Lin Zeyan sneers and suddenly turns the dagger on himself, plunging it into his chest...
The next moment, Gu Ningxi's face turns deathly pale. She clutches her chest, unable to breathe from the pain, and stares at him in disbelief. "Lin Zeyan, you lunatic! You actually hurt yourself just to make me feel pain..."
That's right, Gu Ningxi has the same secret as he does. When Lin Zeyan gets hurt, she feels pain; when he's sad, her heart aches too!

And so, this is what their daily life looks like:
In a quiet study, Gu Ningxi snacks on fruit and lounges on the sofa, reading a magazine.
At the desk, Lin Zeyan suddenly orders, "Make me a cup of coffee."
Gu Ningxi rolls over, pretending she didn't hear him.
Lin Zeyan punches himself in the chest.
Gu Ningxi's breath catches from the pain. She clutches her chest and jumps up. "Lin Zeyan, you damn lunatic!"
Lin Zeyan's face is cold as he raises his fist threateningly. "Are you going or not?"
Gu Ningxi immediately backs down. "Stop hitting yourself! Keep it up and I'll end up flat-chested. Fine, I'll go, okay?"

At the company entrance, Gu Ningxi tells Lin Zeyan to open the car door for her.
Lin Zeyan keeps a cold expression. "Your hands aren't broken. Open it yourself."
"So you're not opening it?" Gu Ningxi bows her head and bites her own wrist.
Lin Zeyan's veins bulge with pain. He sucks in a breath and swears. "Damn it! You win. I'll open it!"
Watching Lin Zeyan meekly give in, Gu Ningxi smiles triumphantly.
So it's mutual destruction, is it? Come on, let's see who gives in first!
