Cassinio's Gift [Western Fantasy]

[An early work. I didn't understand what made a story satisfying when I wrote it, so it's incredibly frustrating!! Don't read it!!!]

Blurb [Magic Academy + Western Fantasy]:

Cassinio is the most revered mage on the entire continent. Every one of his prophecies has been recorded in history like a textbook.

But when the man known as "the one closest to the gods" unexpectedly crossed paths with her and rescued her from danger several times...

Arisa: "The first time I saw him, I thought he was special. It felt like I'd met him a long, long time ago. It was like..."

"Love at first sight?"

"..." Arisa watched her friend walk away, then murmured awkwardly, "I just feel like he... wants to kill me."

* Humans can never refuse a gift from the gods, just as when love arrives, just as when the God of Death throws open his doors., Cassinio *

"Content warnings":

1. A growth-focused leveling story, with everyday life and sweet romance. Please don't offer writing advice. If you encounter something you dislike, click x and leave.

2. The male lead doesn't want to kill the female lead. He wants to drive her away because (...) and later wants to help her. A truly straight-laced, steel-hearted, strict mentor. Neither lead is perfect, but they become better through loving each other.

3. There are many planted clues, and the pacing is slow. The male lead is a scheming old dog. He's arrogant, but not bad at heart; he doesn't want to kill the female lead, only drive her away. Important note: Many kinds of malice you think you should avoid while growing up will eventually turn out to be the best gifts. [The author means that what you mistake for malice is revealed in the end to be a gift. The author never said malice itself is a gift. It means someone who seems fierce is loving you in their own way.]

Theme: Humans can never refuse a gift from the gods, just as when love arrives, just as when the God of Death throws open his doors.
