Madness (Also Known As: You Were Always by My Side)

Qin Ge is the love of Sang You's life, and also the person she hates to her very core.

Twelve years ago, Qin Ge broke the promise they had made beneath the jacaranda tree to "stay together for life." She left without another word, saying only, "I'm sorry," and vanished without a trace.

Once there was no more news of Qin Ge, Sang You lost her soul and went mad.

For the rest of her life, her gloomy, crazed eyes held only one conviction: she would keep climbing higher until she had the power to find Qin Ge in the vast sea of people. Even if she had to clip Qin Ge's wings, she would keep her by her side forever.

Twelve years later, with the help and partnership of the mysterious designer Mu You, Sang You brought her company to the top of the industry.

She restricted Qin Ge's career step by step, until Qin Ge had nowhere to turn but to bow her head to Sang You.

When Qin Ge pleaded with her in a gentle voice, Sang You's heart ached, but she feigned indifference. "Be my lover, and I'll let you go."

Qin Ge had returned, treating her with endless tenderness and patience.

She helped put Sang You's chaotic, messy personal life in order and taught her, little by little, to love the world again.

Sang You sank into Qin Ge's tenderness, yet suffocated under the love she believed she could never have.

She knew that Qin Ge treated her so tenderly not because she loved her, but because Sang You was threatening her future.

Only many years later did Sang You learn the truth.

The mysterious designer Mu You was Qin Ge.

The person who had placed the evidence and leverage against Qin Ge in her hands, giving her the chance to control Qin Ge, was Qin Ge herself.

All these years, Qin Ge had been by her side the whole time.

What Sang You had thought was her careful step-by-step plan had in fact been Qin Ge's own painstaking scheme.

"Fate played a joke on us, making us meet before either of us was ready."

"But I'm glad I met you so early, so I wouldn't miss you in this lifetime."
