Burning Away the Colors of Spring

A fluffy, illogical story with melodrama flying everywhere, no grand scope and no depth. I recommend buying the chapters one at a time while reading the paid version, so you don't accidentally subscribe to the whole thing and regret it.

Blurb:

After transmigrating into a book, Nan You is forced to bind herself to the Vicious Supporting Female System. In the novel, she is the spoiled little princess of Chen who does whatever she pleases. The System's daily tasks are:

[1] Bully the protagonist

Nan You rolls up her sleeves and smashes the protagonist's stall.

[2] Humiliate the protagonist

Nan You pulls open the protagonist's lapel and tosses a caterpillar into his arms.

[3] Toy with the protagonist's feelings, then abandon him

Nan You tricks the boy into falling deeply and earnestly in love with her. After one night of passion, she casts him aside like a worn-out shoe and tramples him without mercy.

After repeatedly courting death, Nan You finally becomes the inescapable nightmare of the protagonist's youth.

Later,

Nan You, fleeing in a sorry state from the protagonist's pursuit, frantically pounds on the System: "What's next? Is the vicious supporting female supposed to get killed off now?"

System: Yep! According to the plot, the protagonist returns after turning evil, conquers the world to overcome the demons that have haunted him for years, then drags out the vicious supporting female and chops her into a thousand pieces, grinding her bones to dust.

A full three thousand cuts, not a single one less!

Nan You: ...Oh, go to hell.

*

On the day of the great battle, blood paved the ground and bones lay everywhere. Thirty million ferocious demons cowered at the protagonist's feet.

The young Demon God unfurled his golden wings. A cinnabar mark, symbolizing the highest demon bloodline, appeared between his brows as he drove Nan You to the edge of a cliff.

Three more steps and she would plunge into an abyss thousands of feet deep, its depths filled with razor-sharp blades.

The protagonist's eyes were sinister. "Will you jump down yourself, or should I throw you?"

Nan You was drenched in cold sweat. "You can't kill me. You'll regret it."

The protagonist sneered. "Why?"

Nan You choked up. "Because... because... Please spare me, hero."

[System: Host's behavior detected as out of character. Character dialogue corrected.]

"Because I... I'm carrying your child." Nan You heard herself say as she clung to the protagonist's leg.

Nan You: Heh.

The protagonist: Heh.

Later, when the protagonist kept her in a carefully built golden house, making love to her day and night under the pretext of "nurturing the baby," Nan You wept bitterly and drew circles to curse the System. Why was the supporting female forbidden to break character, while the protagonist could do whatever he wanted?!

Reader's notes:

1. There is no child.

2. Melodrama, melodrama, melodrama. Small romance, small-scale story.

3. A sweet-and-angsty story: the sweet parts belong to the female lead, and the angsty parts belong to the male lead.

4. All original plots in my book-transmigration stories are original and fictional. No such book exists in real life.

Theme: Be true to yourself, and people will love you for a long time.
