The Princess and the Vicious Dog

Yu Hui Ruo, the Feather Clan's young princess, had a dream. In the dream, the Feather Clan was destroyed by a young man in white. On the day the city fell, blood flowed in rivers, the people suffered terribly, and flames devoured everything. She couldn't make out the young man's face. She only knew he was called Lord Fu Guang, had left the Feather Clan, and had brought his army to the city walls to avenge his childhood sweetheart, Bai Yiyi. The princess climbed onto the city walls, cut off her own wings, and stained her wedding dress with blood. She traded her life for the safety of the Feather Clan. When she awoke, the princess trembled with fear and decided to change the Feather Clan's fate. But to her horror, she discovered that she had executed Bai Yiyi three days earlier, and there was no young man named Lord Fu Guang in the Feather Clan either. With nowhere else to turn, the princess looked to her incredibly ugly child groom, Lu Mingke, said to possess a rare, peerless talent. Was there still time to raise up a protector for the Feather Clan? * Lu Mingke was born hideously ugly and cursed with misfortune. Everyone avoided him as a monster. After wandering into the Feather Clan as a child, he was forced to become the child groom of its princess, Yu Hui Ruo. Yu Hui Ruo looked down on him and took pleasure in bullying him. She killed Bai Yiyi, the partner he had chosen, and poisoned him, blinding both his eyes. He thought she despised him. Until one day, the lofty young princess took off his mask, blushed, and secretly kissed the scars he had borne since birth. From then on, the evil demon fell in love, doomed beyond redemption. * Later, Yu Hui Ruo discovered that Lu Mingke was the Lord Fu Guang from her dream. She shattered his golden core, banished him to the desolate wastes, and imprisoned him forever in the Eight Desolate Hells. Yu Hui Ruo thought that was the end. Several years later. Lu Mingke, immortal and as in her dream, brought his army to the city walls and demanded that the Feather Clan hand over its princess to be sent to the Demon Realm as a reward for his troops. Yu Hui Ruo leaped from the city walls, her wedding dress billowing like a shattered red rose. In that instant, heaven and earth were moved, and the mountains and rivers lost their color. The young man lost his composure and rushed toward her in panic. Everyone thought that the princess, sent to the Demon Realm to marry for peace despite her battered body, would be dead within three years. Yet one palace maid caught a fleeting glimpse of her: the princess's skin was smooth and radiant, and she seemed more pampered than ever. She stabbed to death the childhood sweetheart whom Lord Fu Guang had brought back to life, and Lord Fu Guang merely took her hand and carefully wiped the stain from her fingertips.
