My next novel, White Jade Capital in the Sky, is complete. It features court intrigue and power struggles, with both plot and romance. Thanks so much to all the angels who stop by. A deep bow
The whole story has been polished. If it differs from the versions on other sites, the author isn’t responsible~~
Plot-focused blurb: This is a political intrigue novel, told from the male lead’s perspective. The second and third male leads have a major romance arc of their own. Expect a bleak military atmosphere and a serious nation-building story. (This is a tale of swords flashing and turbulent times, but it also has a substantial romance.)
Great Chu is a mess. Its neighbors on all four sides stare at it like wolves eyeing a fat piece of meat, while those in power within its borders are like starving rats wielding guns, fighting among themselves.
Only Ling Anzhi, a cunning, scheming soldier, and the half-blind Fourth Prince Xu Kangyi still dare to prove through their actions that they want to set the country right. The officials of the dynasty think they’re crazy; the foreign enemies on every side think they’re fighting a losing battle.
The whole country waits to laugh at them. Instead, victory reports keep pouring in, and the brothers Ling Anzhi and Xu Kangyi rise rapidly through the ranks. Now that they’ve driven out the external threat, can they join forces to stabilize the country and restore Great Chu to its former glory?
This is a story of political intrigue and genuine feeling, with plenty of verbal and physical battles. It has a touch of realism
Romance-focused blurb (Yes, it’s a plot-driven story, but the four leads spend a third of the book tormenting one another. Their two romances are clearly distinct. According to unreliable reports from the front, they’re reserved and proud before getting together, then clingy and affectionate afterward):
Ling Anzhi, the God of War of the Northwest, is cunning, charming, and infuriating. He had planned to devote his entire life to the land he served.
The last thing he ever expected was to have a spirited young woman follow him around, showering him with money.
He understands his fate. He was born to fight for Great Chu, and his proud spine has long been prepared to crumble to dust for the sake of the realm.
But after spending more and more time with Yu Qing, he begins to cherish his life and dares to hope, just a little, that he might grow old with her: guarding this splendid land while also protecting the woman in his heart.
Little does he know that the game of power is always a matter of life and death. How many generals who have achieved too much have escaped the rulers’ reckoning once their usefulness is over?
He wants to bloom brilliantly like a summer flower amid the chaos, and to endure like an evergreen pine, sharing a long life with the one he loves.
A few things to know:
1. There are four leads. The second and third male leads have a major danmei romance: one is aloof and reserved, keeping up appearances, while the other is proud and stubborn, waiting for him.
2. This story is about love for the land and its people, showing the leads’ vision and open hearts amid war and turmoil. Each of them has something important to protect.
3. Romance isn’t the main focus. This is a political intrigue novel about a particular era and the people who lived through it. I won’t make things sweet just for the sake of it, or tragic just for the sake of it.
4. The setting is mostly fictional, though I sometimes draw on history. Please don’t nitpick historical details.
5. Most of the poetry and songs are adapted or quoted from other works and won’t all be individually attributed.
6. There may be the occasional knife twist. Each character has their own principles and loyalties.
7. I’m an author who revises chapters and gives out red envelopes at unpredictable intervals.
8. Weibo: Ling Xiaoshuai of Raise a Cup to the Old Homeland. Come say hi.
9. Please read the blurb carefully. Please read the blurb carefully.
My next novel, White Jade Capital in the Sky. Here’s the blurb. Please support it and show it some love. Yay, a deep bow
Ruthless, duplicitous general top x fickle, reserved, sickly-sweet imperial grandson bottom.
Xiao Tang was once a carefree, unruly young man.
He used to fish and ride horses across the snowy northern plains, and slack off during martial arts practice at his private school.
But the past is fragile, and in one night his family is destroyed.
Abandoned, Xiao Tang is no longer a prince.
Covered in grime and blood, he opens his eyes and feels he’s at the end of his life.
But before he can be executed at the marketplace, a young commander rescues him from the guards transporting him.
“Raised in comfort, then abandoned like a pawn!”
Lin Wentian is a minor official, yet he has to handle major headaches.
Luckily, the abandoned prince is obedient and sensible, and rarely causes him trouble.
But even a puppy has fangs, and innocence is just a disguise.
By the time Lin Wentian realizes what’s happening, Xiao Tang’s canine teeth are already at his throat.
Instead of sinking his teeth in, he touches Lin Wentian with a gentle lick.
Xiao Tang buries his face in the crook of his neck. “Can I secretly love you?”
Lin Wentian laughs bitterly. “Xiao Tang, I’ve achieved too much and alarmed the emperor. I won’t live much longer.”
Live or die, they’ll face it together, giving their lives for each other.
Theme: I love the vast land, and I love you, too.
I watched it a year ago and rewatched it a year later. I was still very moved. What remains fresh in my memory is that the fourth blind man was seriously ill and Huahua treated him while collecting food for him. Huahua never gives up and has a strong heart. The four blind men were indeed the most benevolent and righteous people. They donated blood for free to strangers for 7 years without asking for anything in return, but in the end they got good luck.
In the end, An Zhi had no famous name, and his relationship with Ling Xiao ranged from master and servant to brother to sweetheart. Later, he vaguely remembered that he became the son of An Zhi and Xiao Huangyu. So it wasn't very heartbreaking. An Zhi and Ling Xiao are actually beyond all emotions, like hearts and ribs, but more pure. It's a good ending for them to be able to accompany each other and become a real family.
The writing is excellent, and the plot lines, love, and friendship descriptions are all top-notch, soul-stirring, and extremely exciting. It can be seen that the teacher has profound skills and he can pick out good sentences at his fingertips. After reading, I couldn't calm down for a long time. I loved every protagonist in the book, their family and country's righteousness, their hearts for the world, and their unreserved devotion and trust to each other. They all moved me and became the white moonlight in my heart. What I love most is the transcendent friendship between An Zhi and Ling Xiao. They understand you, tolerate you, fill your gaps, share the same ideals, and work together. It really moved me infinitely. I burst into tears when I saw the chapter about the mortal world. I cried alone for a long time. I haven't been touched like this in a long time. Finally, I recall the years when several people struggled together. Every bit and every drop is like crystal. Picking off a memory at will can knock out the most beautiful and crisp echo, penetrating the entire soul.
Is this a big meeting for romance? I feel sorry for the little yellow croaker, I gave everything I could
That's it. I finished reading it and spent the first half of my life with the protagonists. Basically what I want to say has been said intermittently in the comment area, and everyone will be happy for a long time in the future.
I look forward to seeing you again when my wife writes bg or focuses on writing!
"A capable person must be as old as possible" is a big bug for the author~
I like the handsome guy so much! He has mountains and rivers in his heart, he is handsome and ruffian! The writing style is much better than the previous one, I hope to write a new one!
Happy New Year to my wife!
"The little general is never angry." With tears in his eyes, it's true that Marshal Ling and Little Ling Xiao are both little yellow croakers.
