She Started It, Then Abandoned Him

When she was young, the haughty Miss Xu's greatest pleasure was picking on the little bodyguard who followed her everywhere. The little bodyguard was dull and wooden, but when he fought, he was wild and fierce, making her heart race just watching him. She ordered him to carry her floral schoolbag, and to kneel down and tie her shoes. Later, overcome by his good looks, she ordered him to kiss her. The little bodyguard did everything she said, obeying her every command. Later, the Xu family fell into decline. Proud and haughty, Miss Xu couldn't bear to become a laughingstock, so she fled in the middle of the night and vanished without a trace. Five years later, Xu Li put the past behind her and returned home, believing herself strong enough to face anything. Then she ran into him again. He was no longer the poor little bodyguard who followed her around every day and let her tease him. He now possessed immeasurable wealth, stood above everyone, and was admired by all. Xu Li turned to run, but he cornered her against the wall. She lowered her head and stammered, "Sorry, sir, I don't think... we know each other." The man stared at her, his eyes bloodshot. "Is that so? Because I know you." His voice was chilling, as if he'd come to settle a score. Xu Li thought she was done for. But she never expected that one night, when he was drunk, he would hold her tightly and murmur in her ear over and over, "I like Lili..." One afternoon, years ago, Miss Xu was bored and once again teased the silent little bodyguard. She deliberately picked on him. "How come you can't even say a word? You're like a block of wood. Just looking at you annoys me. As punishment, say 'I like the kind, beautiful, adorable little fairy Lili' a hundred times to cheer me up." The young man watched the girl's sweet, charming smile, his ears red enough to drip blood. His throat tightened and his heart pounded as he said again and again, "I like Lili."
