Yue Qin told her that he hoped his future girlfriend would work hard alongside him.

Xu Nian believed him, and went from a rich heiress to a little-known actress in the entertainment industry.

Yue Qin said he wanted his girlfriend to be an outsider, because he was possessive.

Xu Nian believed him, and went from a wildly popular idol to a full-time housewife.

But then Yue Qin's first love returned from abroad, and Xu Nian finally understood that everything he'd said was a load of crap.

To hell with what he wanted! Xu Nian angrily dropped her meek little-wife act and finally said with a flourish, “Yue Qin, let's get divorced!”

At twenty-six, the little-known actress Xu Nian suddenly shot to fame, becoming the year's most talked-about star.

She drove luxury cars and lived in a mansion, and her career seemed to have cheat codes enabled.

Countless people speculated about the powerful backer behind her.

Until one day, paparazzi caught her entering a hotel with Yue, the movie emperor at the very top of the entertainment world's pyramid...

That very night, the news that Xu Nian was being kept as a mistress shot to the top of the trending lists.

The haters were rubbing their hands together, eager to attack, when Yue, the movie emperor himself, posted a photo of their marriage certificate and announced, “@Xu Nian, my wife.”

Before the onlookers could digest this bombshell, the other person involved posted a photo of their divorce certificate: “@Yue Qin, my ex-husband.”
