Jiang He clicked on a trending topic: "What's the craziest thing you've ever done for your idol?" As expected, half the comments mentioned him by name.
He had one Valentine's Day five years ago to thank for that.
That day, one of his male fans spent twenty million yuan on outdoor LED ads to confess his love to Jiang He around the world. Jiang He was suddenly all over the news. His fan forum gained hundreds of thousands of posts, his celebrity ranking shot to number one, and he stayed at the top of the trending searches.
Just as the whole internet was wondering who this crazy, romantic, mysterious, and wealthy fan could be, he disappeared without a trace and was never seen again.
Jiang He glanced over the replies. They were more or less what he expected. He was about to close the comments when a user called "Xia He" caught his eye.
Sweet and cute, can be salty or sweet: You're trending again, @Xia He
Xia He: I was young and reckless. No big deal.
Jiang He tapped the screen. "Look into this person called Xia He."
A few days later, his considerate assistant brought him the information. "Brother Jiang, Xia He is Teacher Qiu Xia's alt account."
Jiang He: "Qiu Xia?"
Assistant: "Teacher Qiu Xia, who's about to join the cast and act opposite you. He's the star, author, and screenwriter of this series with two male leads."
Jiang He: "Oh, right. He's your idol! 'The aloof flower,' 'the man of everyone's dreams,' right? The chuunibyou who always tells his fans, 'Don't love me. It won't end well.'"
Assistant: "Brother Jiang, you don't seem to like our Xia Xia."
Jiang He: "Be confident. Drop the 'seem.'"
Six months later
Assistant: "Brother Jiang, you seem to like our Xia Xia."
Jiang He: "Be confident. Drop the 'seem.'"
Theme: People in love will always meet again
