It's time for the annual sect recruitment drive again, and the major martial arts sects are pulling out all the stops to advertise.

Qingcheng Sect: "Want to be a dashing swordsman in flowing white robes? Want to become a great hero admired by everyone? Want your name in the Record of Martial Arts Celebrities, with your great deeds sung by generations to come? Then join us! Qingcheng Sect, the cradle of your dreams!" [A whole crowd cheers]

Shaolin: "Form is emptiness, emptiness is form. Join the Buddhist order and let go of all five desires." [Another crowd cheers]

Chixiao Valley: "If you don't save people, you're not righteous, and you're no reputable sect. We only teach killing. If you want to uphold justice, take the next door on the right." [A huge crowd cheers]

Someone noticed the recruitment office of Tiansong Sect, quietly growing mushrooms in a corner, and asked, "What makes your sect stand out?"

The laid-back head of recruitment at Tiansong Sect thought for a moment. "Does it count that our sect leader is a gullible rich fool who loves handing out money?" [The whole crowd cheers]

Half a month later, Tiansong Sect's new disciples clutched their dry steamed buns and tearfully protested, furious with grief: "We report Tiansong Sect for false advertising!"

"It's true the sect leader is a gullible rich fool, but nobody told us beforehand that his wife is miserly to the extreme! She's stingy and wicked, and all she does is scare us with poisonous bugs and drugs!"

"Mom, the martial world is terrifying! I want to go home, boo-hoo!"

The infamous wicked sect leader's wife gazed at the account book, her eyes gleaming as she gave a sinister smile. "Pass down my orders. From now on, cut everyone's food and supplies in half, except for the sect leader and me. They can only have pickles with their steamed buns."
