[Don't read this book yet!! The writing is terrible! I'll rewrite it from scratch later.]
Please add my upcoming series entries, "After My Startup Failed, I Inherited a River" and "The Top-Tier Star Blessed by All the Ghosts" to your reading lists. Haha!
This story's CP: Demon King gong x kindergarten teacher shou
Wen Hanyu dated his college senior, Yin Rui, for four years. But at the height of their romance, his lover left without a word and vanished without a trace.
It took Wen Hanyu three whole years to get over the pain of their breakup. Then a class reunion brought that man right back in front of him.
At the door of the second kindergarten classroom, Yin Rui stood there with his increasingly devilishly handsome face and a pair of flirtatious eyes that seemed to shoot sparks. He pointed to the little dumpling beside him. "Hello, teacher. This is my son."
Wen Hanyu stared at the miniature version of Yin Rui and felt as if the sky had fallen. But before he could even shed a tear, Yin Rui nudged the little dumpling and said, "Say hello. This is your mom."
"Mommy~" The little dumpling snuggled up against his leg.
Wen Hanyu: ...???!!!
Three denials: I'm not, I didn't, don't make things up.
Yin Rui pointed to the scar on his stomach. "This is the proof."
Wen Hanyu: "Didn't you tell me this was an appendectomy scar?!"
[Reading Guide]:
1: One-on-one, older gong, rekindled romance.
2: The gong had his reasons for leaving without a word. He didn't cheat or get involved with some third party or any other nonsense.
3: Demons and having a child, but no big belly or childbirth scenes.
4: This story is entirely fictional, with an enormous number of made-up details. Read it for the author's wild imagination, and don't take it too seriously. Just have fun~
Upcoming stories in the series:
1. "After My Startup Failed, I Inherited a River"
[Charismatic, untamed ruler of the four seas gong x cool, queenly shou]
The Fu family had guarded a river called Huo Shui for generations.
Legend had it that a god lived in the river. The god was named Huo Mi, the ruler of the four seas in the immortal realm, and governed every sea and river on the Eastern Continent.
A thousand years ago, when chaos engulfed the three realms, Huo Mi gave his life to protect his people and was ultimately buried in the Huo Shui River.
To repay him, the Fu family's ancestors willingly took on the duty of guarding the river and protecting their lord.
As a descendant of the Fu family, Fu Lingyue grew up listening to stories about the ruler of the four seas.
His grandfather told him that if he prayed sincerely before the ruler's statue, the god would grant his wish.
So at the age of ten, he wished to be top of his class. Yet he still came last in every exam.
At twenty-five, he wished to become rich, only to end up heavily in debt after his startup failed.
Furious, Fu Lingyue jumped up and scrawled five large characters on the white jade statue: "You damn liar!"
-
After his startup failed, Fu Lingyue was forced to return to his hometown and take over the duty of guarding the river. He also inherited a rundown old guesthouse.
Since it was in a remote location, business was slow, and hardly anyone came all year.
But on the very first day Fu Lingyue took over, a guest showed up: a tycoon worth hundreds of millions, who paid a fortune to book the place for an entire year.
The next day, an elderly couple checked in.
On the third day, a young man arrived with an easel to paint.
On the fourth day...
The guesthouse grew busier and busier, but Fu Lingyue gradually began to notice something strange.
First, there was the tycoon. Every day, he ran to the riverbank at the same time and played "Come Back Soon" on repeat toward the water.
When he returned, his face was streaked with tears.
Then there was the elderly couple. The two septuagenarians went boating on the Huo Shui every single day, come rain or shine.
When they returned, their faces were streaked with tears.
Finally, there was the young man. Day after day, he took his easel to the river to paint from life, yet the image on his canvas was always the same: a young man with black clothes and black hair.
When he finished, he clutched the painting and wept bitterly.
Fu Lingyue couldn't help wondering whether he was running a guesthouse or a mental hospital.
Then one day, they all hugged a drenched young man and burst into loud sobs.
Fu Lingyue: So it really is a mental hospital.
-
Fu Lingyue fished a man out of the Huo Shui River. The man had no money, and Fu Lingyue took pity on him and let him stay at the guesthouse in exchange for work.
The man was handsome, quick on his feet, and responsible. He was practically perfect, except that he often talked nonsense.
"Boss, do you have a wish? Tell me, and I'll make it come true," the man asked every day.
Fu Lingyue laughed. "The last person who tried to con me like that is a statue now."
Until one night, when he undid the man's shirt and saw five familiar characters on his white-jade body.
2. "The Top-Tier Star Blessed by All the Ghosts"
[A ghost-phobic top-tier star shou, forced to spend every day among ghosts and take on all kinds of jobs x a sickly, delicate goose of a powerful underworld gong]
When he was ten, Xie Jinghong ran into the path of a speeding truck while trying to save a big white dog.
He was lucky enough to survive, but soon discovered that something about his body had changed.
He had started seeing ghosts.
All kinds of ghosts that he had only ever seen in movies and TV shows began appearing around him all the time.
Ghost-phobic Xie Jinghong: "Don't come any closer! [Roars]"
From the age of ten to twenty-two, the ghosts around him came and went in wave after wave.
Yet neither the benevolent ghosts nor the evil ones ever meant him any harm.
Not only was he never frightened by them, they also rescued him from danger time and again.
While filming a show in the mountains, a flash flood struck. A hanged ghost used the long rope it had hanged itself with to pull him out of the flood.
When someone harassed him, a mischievous ghost drove off his creepy pursuer.
When he was caught up in a scandal, even the Judge of the Underworld lent a hand.
After escaping danger so many times, Xie Jinghong became the internet's luckiest person, and rumors spread that he was blessed by a deity.
The lucky star himself clarified: "No deity, but I do have a whole bunch of evil ghosts."
Later, Xie Jinghong asked the ghosts, "Why do you keep following me?"
The ghosts cautiously edged closer, greedily drawing in the aura around him. They answered with tender devotion, "You smell like him."
Xie Jinghong: ???
Until the day he traveled through the underworld and saw the man known as the Lord of the Underworld in the palace of the King of the Underworld.
The man, whose features were as beautiful as a painting, lay quietly on a jade bed.
Xie Jinghong approached and sensed that the man possessed the same chilling aura as he did.
The sleeping man suddenly opened his eyes. A gentle smile slowly spread across his pale, handsome face.
"You've come."
Please add it to your reading list~
