Miss Little Dickens

She transmigrates into the body of Charles Dickens’s little sister and opens her eyes to find herself in a debtors’ prison. Her father is drowning in debt, her mother is worn out from struggling to make ends meet, and her older brother, who will one day become a great writer, is still working miserably as an apprentice. Harriet Dickens says, “I can’t go on living like this!”

Harriet starts regularly pushing her brother to study hard and keep improving.

The hardworking apprentice Dickens angrily flips the table. “If you think you can do better, then you do it!”

Harriet slaps the table. “Fine, I will!”
