After Leaving Showbiz to Become a Security Guard, I Won Over the Actress I’d Always Adored Li Guang had been in the entertainment industry for three years and was so obscure she had only two yuan in her bank account. Even her next meal was a problem. Her biggest moment of fame came when she called Best Actress Ran Mingyue on a variety show and got hung up on, prompting fans to mock her. When Li Guang saw a job posting for a security guard in a villa complex, she had an epiphany. She simply wasn’t cut out for showbiz! Become a security guard while she was still young, and skip decades of detours. Not long after she started work, the all-star survival show You Run, I Chase, You Can’t Get Away opened filming in the villa complex. Apparently, every guest was a difficult, demanding nightmare. The head of security found her. “Hey, Li. You’re a rookie and need the experience, so you’re in charge of security on set for this show. Do a good job, and you’ll be the next head of security.” Li Guang: “No problem!” After You Run aired, fans noticed that the person following Ran Mingyue was a slender security guard wearing a mask. Fans were skeptical: “Come on, can this tiny thing protect our Best Actress?” The very next second, Li Guang kicked a flying NPC out of the way in one move. Fans: “?” Later on Ran Mingyue couldn’t open a door no matter what she tried, but Li Guang kicked it open. Ran Mingyue was afraid to walk down a dark road, so Li Guang showed up with a flashlight and danced with her hands. Ran Mingyue was scared witless by an NPC, while Li Guang scared the NPC witless. In the end, whenever anything happened, the guests and the comment feed all shouted: “Quick, quick, quick! Call security!” Li Guang never expected that she’d start out as an off-camera security guard and end up causing a sensation, topping the trending searches every episode, with viewers demanding that she become a regular guest. She was dubbed the ultimate powerhouse, and more and more fans urged her to return to showbiz. Li Guang: “No, no, no. I’m a security guard today, and I’ll still be one tomorrow.” Just as Li Guang had turned down every offer and countless popular drama roles, a photo surfaced of her and Best Actress Ran Mingyue coming and going from a mansion together. Li Guang immediately clarified: “It’s a misunderstanding. I’m the security guard at her villa complex. We’re just an employer and an employee.” Ran Mingyue, however, reposted her statement on Weibo for once, and tagged Li Guang. [Wifey, are you still sulking?] Fans: “???” Later, Ran Mingyue was asked why she had hung up on Li Guang when Li Guang called her on the show. The Best Actress replied, “Because I kissed her the day before, and she still hadn’t figured out how I felt, so I hung up in a huff.” Li Guang finally put two and two together: Three years away from showbiz, working security, and she was still the Best Actress’s cherished crush when she returned? Fans: “Holy crap, a kind of plant.jpg” Viewers: “Doubt Li Guang, understand Li Guang, become Li Guang. #SisYourLifeIsMyDream#” A crush that turns mutual + two people choosing each other | Her lie-flat attitude can’t hide her combat skills | A mighty, tank-like powerhouse | Little Li, the ultimate optimist Theme: A sweet, doting romance after being reborn.
