[Second story in the Rainbow Candy series. I'll start this after finishing Pay Me Back.]
★☆★
Li Yanhui is the real power behind the Li family in the south of the city. He is ruthless in character and vicious in his methods.
When people discover that he has watched ballet performances many times...
Everyone: This doesn't sound much like the Li Yanhui I've heard about...
Zhou Suixing is a gifted professional ballet dancer, known across the country. She is aloof and seems impossible to approach.
Everyone assumed that was simply her personality. Who could have guessed that the reason she barely spoke was because she was... a stutterer?
Everyone: Whatever happened to the elegant little fairy, graceful as a swan?
Li Yanhui: What's wrong with Zhou Suixing being a fairy?
Everyone: ...???
No, nothing at all. Zhou Suixing is still that same fairy.
★☆★
When Zhou Suixing performed, she often spotted a familiar face in the audience.
Later, after Chu Li introduced them, she learned that the man who often came to watch ballet was named Li Yanhui.
Zhou Suixing: D-do y-you l-like b-ballet?
Li Yanhui: Yes. I like you. I'm your devoted fan.
And I'll always be your safe harbor.

Li Yanhui always wore a string of beads around his wrist. The beads were smooth and round, and the cord looked a little worn.
Many people guessed that he was a Buddhist.
When someone tried to use that to beg for mercy and save their life, he merely rubbed the beads and said with a faint smile, "I'm burdened with sin, and I don't believe in Buddha. I believe in fate."
Then, without a flicker of emotion, he ordered his men to pull out the person's teeth.
"Zhou Suixing is my fate."
★ Bonus Scene ☆
Li Yanhui had heard some folk remedy that talking to Zhou Suixing a lot could cure her, so he put all his effort into talking to her, even reading her storybooks.
Once the novelty wore off, Zhou Suixing grew impatient. At last, she couldn't take it anymore and said in a huff, "G-go buy a p-parrot! It t-talks b-better than you do!"
Li Yanhui actually went and bought a parrot.
Zhou Suixing put a hand to her forehead. There's no saving him...
Zhou Suixing: #Everyone thinks I'm aloof# #But I'm just pretending# #Because I have a little stutter# #So I can only act aloof#
Li Yanhui: #My wife is so aloof# #So I have to talk more# #My wife is the most beautiful, and I won't hear otherwise. Anyone who disagrees can answer to me#
Business tycoon vs. ballet fairy
P.S. The heroine developed her stutter later in life. It will be explained, and she will recover.
