Logbook of a Gold Medal Service Cat on the Job

[Revising, read at your own risk] "My name is Bai Lin. I'm eight months old, and I work at a cat cafe. I'm the star employee here." A gray-and-white American Shorthair kitten with a classic tabby pattern and an adorable bow tie introduced his workplace with great seriousness. The doorbell rang, and customers came in. Bai Lin put on his best smile and lowered his head, meowing, "Welcome." "Hmph." A furry tail dangled down from the cat tower on the roof. A long-haired cat with an agile figure stretched, jumped down, and sauntered along the bookshelf. "Wow, that cat is so handsome!" "The way he looks down at everyone is weirdly boyfriend material!" The customers excitedly chatted among themselves. Bai Lin lowered his lovely round eyes slightly. "That guy is my toughest rival at work." [This is the very first version of the blurb. I originally only wanted to write about a kitten's daily life working at a cat cafe, as a short novella to take a break between longer works. But as I developed the idea, I added too many elements and felt the story had gone off track, so I decided to rewrite it. I'm currently doing a major revision and will post the revised sections as they're ready. Sorry to keep you waiting, and thank you, everyone! He will turn human, he will!] Theme: Stories of the human world
