I Study Hard to Protect the Male Lead's Innocence

[Please read this, I'm bowing and kowtowing!!!] Readers who've made it this far, I really need a moment to catch my breath. This story begins in 2020. Back then, I carefully revised the novel's premise over and over and wrote two chapters in advance. I planned to start posting once I had 100,000 words saved up, so I casually set a tentative publication date that seemed very, very far away. I thought I could quickly change it to the actual release date, but I never expected that two months later, after starting my PhD, I'd be swamped, working day and night in the lab. Since I couldn't guarantee daily updates during serialization and didn't want to disappoint readers, I didn't start any new novels. As time went by, I forgot about these saved chapters. It turns out that 'a long time' wasn't all that long: in July this year, the story automatically went live, and I only found out after a friend told me... I'm completely bewildered. Seeing so many familiar names below celebrating the launch and looking forward to the story, I feel both guilty and moved. I really wish I could whip myself into posting 6,000 words a day right now, but... I've completely forgotten the original premise and how I felt about it. My head is spinning, and in the second half of the year I have to prepare for graduation and look for a job. It's easy to imagine how an irresponsible start to a novel would cause even more trouble, so I can only ask everyone to wait a little longer. I'll quietly build up chapters and finish this story, but I may not be able to update in the near future because I need to stockpile chapters... Still, this unexpected automatic release let me know that there are little angels still reading my work. I've also been seriously thinking about picking up my pen and writing more stories. If a new story appears in the future, it'll be because you gave me the motivation to start writing again this time. Thank you so much!!!
