The Former Empress

Everyone in court knew that the current empress was breathtakingly beautiful and greatly feared.

But Qi Zhao knew that the empress was more than an empress. She would also become the emperor's nightmare, a demon empress who seized power and usurped the throne.

Even Zhen Tu became one of her admirers.

After being reborn, she entered the palace to pay her respects as a female relative of the empress's clan, but accidentally wandered into the Hidden Spring Hall and shared a dream of passion with the emperor. She was made a consort and brought into the palace.

She helped His Majesty purge his court and destroy the demon empress, turning the empress into the late empress.

But no one told her that the usurpation of power would begin with her death.

The demon empress, Ji Hu, is everywhere.

She is the emperor's midnight dreams, and the beloved of Zhen Tu, who dares to put herself before the world.
