Yu Jiujiu first met Lu Zui outside a police station.
Lu Zui wore a black punk leather jacket, leaning against the wall with half a cigarette between his fingers. He smiled like a demon, drawing everyone's attention.
Later, whenever Lu Zui saw her in a bar, he would tease her: "Little girl, back for a drink?"
In the neon-lit crowd, the out-of-place young woman blushed and protested: "I'm an adult already!"
Lu Zui rested his chin on one hand, looking lazy as he teased her: "Your dad's here."
Then he watched her nervously glance toward the door and laughed until he doubled over. The girl was just too cute.
When Jiujiu was twenty, she had a little secret she didn't tell anyone.
She had fallen for a man eight years older than her.

Lu Zui was used to parents holding him up as a bad example to their children. Whenever he heard gossip, he simply laughed it off.
It was Jiujiu who got angry, her face flushing as she argued with people.
She spoke as if he were the best person in the whole world.
Lu Zui teased her with a smile: "You're defending me so fiercely. Do you have a crush on me, big brother?"
To his surprise, the girl turned her red ears away and didn't deny it.
Lu Zui froze for a few seconds, then, for once, became serious: "Jiujiu, don't fall for me. I'm not worth it."
But later, he held Jiujiu tightly, his eyes red: "Don't leave me again..."
He had nothing at all, until a young woman treasured him. Suddenly, he wanted to try living well.
