Young Master Qi is notorious for being a delinquent: he fights, cheats, and has a rough-and-tumble attitude, and always ranks near the bottom of his class. In just two years of high school, he drove away more than a dozen tutors.

In his senior year, a tutor from a prestigious university arrived.

She was beautiful, quiet, and stubborn. No matter how Qi Ran tried to threaten or bribe her, she always followed him without batting an eye, forcing him to study. It infuriated Young Master Qi, but he couldn't do a thing about her.

One day, during a tutoring session, one of Qi Ran's buddies invited him out to party. He glanced at Su Mo, who was watching him coldly, and replied irritably, "I'm not going."

"Brother Ran, what are you so busy with every single day?"

Qi Ran scratched his head in frustration. "Homework!"

The other end of the line fell silent for a few seconds. "...Brother Ran, I don't know if I should say this."

"You wouldn't happen to have fallen for that beautiful older sister, would you?"

Qi Ran looked at the demon across from him and sneered. "What the hell are you talking about? I'd rather die than fall for her!"

A few months later, Qi Ran got into a prestigious university as he'd hoped. He cornered Su Mo outside her dorm and shamelessly asked, "Older sister, will you be my girlfriend?"

Su Mo was born cold-faced and even colder-hearted, yet one person followed her around, calling her "Older sister" this and "Older sister" that.

She once thought a boy's affection was just a passing infatuation, until he returned with glory to his name and stood before her.

The man had a resolute face and stood tall as a pine, but his smile was just as it had always been.

"Older sister, am I good enough to love you now?"

Only then did she realize that Qi Ran loved her more than she'd imagined.

Yu Jiujiu first met Lu Zui outside the police station.

Lu Zui wore a black punk leather jacket and leaned against the wall, a half-smoked cigarette between his fingers. He smiled like a demon, instantly drawing attention.

Later, whenever Lu Zui saw her at the bar, he would tease her: "Hey, kid, drinking again?"

Amid the bright lights and revelry, the little girl blushed and protested, "I'm an adult already."

Lu Zui propped his chin on one hand, looking languid as he teased her: "Your dad's here."

Then he watched her anxiously look toward the entrance, and laughed until he doubled over. The little girl was so adorable.

When she was twenty, Jiujiu had a little secret that she told no one.

She'd fallen for a man eight years older than her.

Lu Zui was used to parents holding him up as a cautionary example to their children. When he occasionally heard people gossiping, he just laughed it off.

But Jiujiu got angry on his behalf, her face flushing as she argued with them.

She made it sound as if he were the best person in the world.

Later, Lu Zui teased her with a smile: "You're really standing up for me. Do you have a crush on me, big brother?"

To his surprise, the little girl's ears turned red as she looked away. She didn't deny it.

Lu Zui froze for a few seconds, then, for once, became serious. "Jiujiu, don't fall for me. I'm not worth it."

Then one day, a suitor walked Jiujiu to the corner and confessed his feelings.

Before she could answer, she spotted a familiar figure in the distance beneath a streetlight, beckoning her. "Jiujiu, come here."

Jiujiu pressed her lips together and didn't move.

Lu Zui walked over at an unhurried pace and patted the top of her head, his voice indulgent. "Still sulking?"

The young man asked, "Who are you?"

Lu Zui smiled faintly and glanced over, his presence commanding. "Her boyfriend. Can't you tell?"

He had nothing at all, until a little girl treated him like a treasure. Suddenly, he wanted to make something of his life.
