Loyal dog turned rabid dog top x godlike powerhouse bottom
Blurb 1:
On a wasteland overrun by indescribable monsters, an indescribable terror weighs on every heart. Humans, at the very bottom of the evolutionary ladder, have been abandoned by the world. Those suffering and tormented pray for the gods to descend.
In a long-abandoned tomb, a hand reaches up from beneath the earth. Chu Mu, the Ghost King, awakens from the abyss and crawls back into the human world.
A foot steps on his head and stomps him right back down. A brazen voice rings out from above.
"Bro, mind if I borrow your crown?"
The first time Chu Mu and Ling Bai meet:
Chu Mu: Where'd this thief come from? He's got some nerve, digging around on my turf. He's asking to die!
Ling Bai: I raid one wild tomb and run into a monster? I'm done for. Better get out of here!
The second time they meet:
Chu Mu leads his ghost army into battle against an evil god. Trapped by the evil god, he is about to take them both down when two shoes come flying at them. One hits him, the other hits the evil god. A familiar, brazen voice calls out.
"Excuse me, you're in my way."
Chu Mu's eyes turn cold. If I could move right now, I'd kill this guy, or my name isn't Chu Mu.
The evil god's eyes light up. Someone like that... must taste delicious.
Ling Bai: Just my luck. I run into a rabid dog on my way home for dinner. Should've checked the almanac before I went out today.
The third time they meet:
Ling Bai's secret identity is exposed. Chu Mu grabs him by the throat and pins him against the wall, eyes bloodshot, biting his neck as he growls, "I've finally found you, traitor. Don't you think I should bite you to pieces, one bite at a time, and swallow you whole, so your bones and flesh become one with me and you have nowhere left to run?"
Blurb 2:
Chu Mu, the Ghost King, awakens from a tomb and enters the human world. Ghosts and monsters awaken across the land, waiting for their king. But the natural world has changed too fast. Skyscrapers have collapsed, the God of Machines has returned from space, fallen evil gods stand upon the wasteland, and countless indescribable monsters fill the human world. Humanity's body and mind are corrupted, and people either merge with monsters or, perhaps, become monsters themselves, no different from the abominations.
The dark era has begun. Humanity is at the bottom of the food chain, struggling to survive.
Meanwhile, Ling Bai is enjoying a comfortable retirement, until...
The prophet at a human survival base activates his "Prophecy" skill.
"The savior is in the north. He killed the Lord of the Deep Sea. He possesses the Fountain of Life. He trampled the demons of hell underfoot. Go north and find him! He's there!"
At that moment, Ling Bai is roasting a deep-sea octopus leg, drinking chilled water from the Fountain of Life, and using a three-headed hellhound as a backrest. Ignoring everyone's envious stares, he grumbles:
"The outside's a little burnt."
"That hellhound's back is a bit bumpy."
"Iced milk tea without a milkshake has no soul."
Later, humans swarm to him, worshipping him as a god and hailing him as the savior of the new world, the morning star breaking through the darkness, the "Dragon Slayer."
The "Dragon Slayer" arrives before the Ghost King and the evil god.
The Ghost King steps down from his throne and kneels on the ground, utterly reverent. "Welcome back, Master."
The evil god bows his all-conquering head. "I am willing to serve you for all eternity, your most loyal believer."
The God of Machines sighs. "I've searched every corner of the universe. At last, you have appeared, my Lord."
