Pei Xun screams hysterically, "Someone like you doesn't deserve to be loved! Much less to become an immortal! I'll go tell your husband the truth right now!"

Shen Chaoyu grabs him. "Don't be like this. Once I become immortal, shall we get married?"

The little snake demon is considerate and simplehearted. It wouldn't be so bad to be with him.

Pei Xun hesitates for a few moments, then murmurs, "I love you. Don't lie to me again."

Shen Chaoyu's new object with whom to prove her Dao

is her aloof, refined senior brother, Chi Xu, who keeps everyone at a distance.

The Hua Qing Sect's most renowned genius sword cultivator, and the favored son of Heaven whom Shen Chaoyu envies madly.

At their wedding, she stabs her senior brother to death and successfully ascends.

Shen Chaoyu becomes an immortal without a hitch and begins making preparations for her wedding.

But before that, she has to pay a visit to her superior, who has just emerged from seclusion.

And so Shen Chaoyu sees the senior brother she had supposedly stabbed to death, seated high upon the divine altar.
