After Marrying a Wealthy Big Sister, I Fell Hard for Her

A workplace story inspired by “Against the Light,” featuring Ming Zhen × Xue Yuexian. A cold, scheming gong × a shou who'd die if she couldn't tease people.

Ming Zhen ran into a problem, the kind she couldn't get past.

Her family had arranged a marriage, and her mother wanted her to marry a wealthy older woman.

Ming Zhen felt physically repulsed by this woman she'd never met, who had a terrible reputation, loved flirting around, and was more than a decade older than her.

Thinking it was better to make the first move than be forced to accept it, she went to a bar to try her luck, and actually found a promising romantic prospect.

Cool and composed, elegant and refined. Ming Zhen fell for her at first sight.

At the evening banquet, the beautiful older woman arrived dressed to the nines, stunning everyone. Ming Zhen was just about to boast about her to her mother when she saw her mother walk over, take the woman's arm affectionately, and bring her up to Ming Zhen. “Sweetheart, this is your Auntie Xue.”

“?????????”

Ming Zhen trembled as she heard the words she'd whispered in the beautiful woman's arms the night before: “That old lady will definitely be there tomorrow. You have to outshine her and show her that no matter how rich an older woman is, she can't get her hands on a young thing!”

Seeing the faint smile at Auntie Xue's lips, Ming Zhen's knees went weak.

Shit, shit, shit, shit, I'm doomed, I'm doomed, somebody save me!!!

Later, Auntie Xue leaned against the bed, looking at Ming Zhen with her tear-filled eyes, her pale pink fingertips playing with Ming Zhen's hair.

“Tell me, how did this old woman manage to get her hands on a young thing, hmm?”

“QAQ I was blind!”
