The writing is really good. After reading those great HP fanfics, I always feel that I can't find anything better. But in fact, it gets better every time, because excellent works constantly raise my standards for what I read, so this is probably the best one in my mind at the moment. The fanfic is number one. Watching the growth of the female protagonist is great. It is a real female protagonist. The complete ones I have read before are not bad, but half of them focus on the male protagonist or the trio, which makes me sometimes feel that the female protagonist seems out of place. This is a great book, with a lot of thoughts on relationships, friendship, love, family, power, and many other smaller but equally important issues.
