The Supporting Female Character of a Slacker Novel Awakens

I'm opening this one next. Blurb 1: Shi Yu is the villainess in a novel about a slacker who becomes famous overnight. She joins the same wilderness-survival dating reality show as the heroine and becomes her foil. The heroine, who keeps saying she wants to leave show business, steps on Shi Yu to become a top-tier star. The opportunities Shi Yu works herself to the bone to earn come easily to the heroine. Even Shi Yu's boyfriend of three years, whom she's been dating in secret, falls at the heroine's feet. Everyone praises the heroine's astonishing luck and laid-back personality. Meanwhile, Shi Yu is boycotted across the internet for being jealous and resentful, and is forced to quit show business. However, the day before filming begins, Shi Yu awakens to the truth. She resolutely distances herself from the main characters, dumps her scumbag boyfriend, and pairs up with the least noticeable guest in the story. She keeps working hard, but no longer obsesses over what she gains or loses. Without her foil, the heroine seems to lose her luck, and her ex, having lost a precious gem, finally comes to his senses. But Shi Yu has already risen to heights they can never reach. The harder you work, the luckier you become. Every bit of fame and every laurel she wins is well deserved. Blurb 2: Ji Lin is the least noticeable male guest on the reality show. He's not a top-tier star, a singing champion, or a movie star, just a retired athlete past his prime. In fact, plenty of people have never even heard his name. No one pays attention to an athlete who can no longer win medals. But he never expected Shi Yu to choose him. Ji Lin watches her fall, pick herself up, fall again, and rise once more, just like he once did. Step by step, she carves out a path through adversity. Hard work really does pay off. He sees that truth come to life in Shi Yu. Later, he makes it back to the top, too. Standing on the podium, he says: Shi Yu is his light, and now he has her in his arms.
