I'm the Cannon-Fodder Ghost Girl in a Supernatural Novel

After having a dream, Chen Xing learned that she was a ghost in a supernatural power-progression novel, and a villainous cannon-fodder ghost who was killed by the male lead from the start. Thinking of the scene where the male lead stabbed through her heart, Chen Xing felt a pain in her flat chest, which had never felt anything before. For a moment, she wanted to cling to the male lead and stop confronting him head-on. Yet as she repeatedly recalled the book's contents, she couldn't help being drawn to the line, "If you drink the male lead's blood, you can become the Ghost King." Chen Xing wiped away her drool and thought greedily that perhaps this dream was heaven's sign that she was destined to become the Ghost King. If so, why not take a bold chance and try harder? Maybe she really could devour the male lead and reach the pinnacle of ghostly existence. Xie Xu's monologue: In the mountains of Jinghai, I met a kind person. She told me that the people living in the castle were all ghosts. She said she would help me and my companions escape the castle. I believed her, but later I discovered that she was a ghost too. Even then, I was deceived by her honeyed words once again. I felt sorry for her and resolved to help her escape Jinghai as well. But on the eve of our departure, she sank her teeth into my throat without hesitation. Only then did I understand that she was the ghost who most wanted to kill me. The male lead starts out like a timid little rabbit, but later becomes a great demon king. Theme: With the male lead's help, the heroine experiences human emotions again. Kindness is the greatest strength.
