Walking the Abyss

Qingzhu Shangren, the astonishingly talented sword immortal of Taihua Sect, and Chongxu Zi of Jinquan Mountain were a beloved couple, admired by all in the cultivation world. A thousand years ago, during the battle at the Demon-Suppressing Abyss, Qingzhu Shangren fought desperately to protect Chongxu Zi as he escaped the demon lair. She was gravely wounded and nearly perished, and in the end had no choice but to enter closed-door cultivation. Chongxu Zi disappeared for three years. Everyone in the cultivation world thought Chongxu Zi had traveled to the ends of the earth to find elixirs for Qingzhu Shangren. No one could have imagined that three years later, Chongxu Zi would return to Jinquan Mountain with a new Dao companion and a young child. When Qingzhu Shangren, whose condition had been worsening day by day, heard her disciples mention this, her inner demon surged... A thousand years passed, and the demons in the Demon-Suppressing Abyss once again threatened the mortal world. Taihua Sect was troubled by having no sword immortal to lead them, when Qingzhu Shangren, whom everyone thought had long since perished, suddenly emerged from seclusion.
