The Angel Has Disappeared [Good Omens]

[Note up front: This was inspired by another work, and I have permission. Details are in the author's note of Chapter 1, since the post kept getting blocked~]

Crowley is a demon, and he has a secret he's kept buried for years.

He's fallen in love with an angel.

But for six thousand years, the angel seems to have thought of him only as a friend.

The secret comes to light, and the angel is dragged back to Heaven to be burned in its holy flames.

The demon regrets everything, but it's already too late.

Angel: As long as our hearts are in sync, it's never too late.

Demon: Angel???

Demon: Wait, weren't you burned to death?!

Angel: ...Darling, I think you should at least pretend to be moved first.

[Reading Guide]

Composed angel top x irritable old snake bottom

1. A short, roughly 30,000-character story about planting trees. The first half is from the demon's perspective and ends in tragedy; the second half is from the angel's perspective and has... an open ending, I suppose. The bonus chapters give them a happy ending.

2. This is my first fanfic and my first story with a Western setting. I didn't have enough time to research everything, so there are probably lots of details I've made up.

3. The angel is based on the version from after the body swap in the TV show's final episode, who has a more dominant vibe. So he may be out of character. Read at your own risk!

4. I should officially start and finish posting it in September.
