Shen Ning was hit and killed by a car.
Fortunately, he wasn't completely dead, and was reborn in another world.
Unfortunately, this world was actually a book, and he himself was a minor boss who died early in the first half of the story.
Even more unfortunately, not long ago, his original self had stolen something from the male lead, and that treasure was still in his hands.
Shen Ning sat cross-legged and gave it some serious thought. With the sort of vengeful, grudge-holding nature common to the male leads of wish-fulfillment novels, there was no way he could get on the man's good side.
Since he'd already stolen from him, and he was going to die sooner or later anyway, he might as well keep stealing. He could still enjoy himself while taking advantage of his current identity. Why should the male lead get all the good stuff?
With that in mind, Shen Ning followed the male lead and turned the rich, handsome man who originally played the pig to eat the tiger in the novel into a poor sword cultivator with nothing but a sword to his name.
But there seemed to be something off about this male lead
Shen Ning saw off the demonic cultivator who had come to recruit him, then turned to the other person involved in his conversation with the cultivator and let out a cold laugh. “Why sneak around? You heard everything I said just now, didn't you? What do you have to say for yourself?”
Unlike Shen Ning's coldness, Que Xinglan wore an exceptionally sincere expression, so much so that it seemed quite out of place at that moment.
“Then I wish you an early fulfillment of your heart's desire, Senior Brother.”
His gaze burned as he looked at Shen Ning, as if he had never heard his good Senior Brother plotting with a demonic cultivator to kill him.
Que Xinglan had always been haunted by the same nightmare.
In it, another version of himself sat high upon a great hall's throne, while tens of thousands knelt before him and bowed in submission.
Across the sea of people, the two of them stared at each other. In the end, all they saw was a desperate, struggling beast trapped in a cage on the other side.
Still, he was ultimately luckier than the other one.
Que Xinglan took a step back. Behind him was darkness so thick it seemed almost tangible.
He disappeared into it, letting out a long breath as if he had finally broken free of his shackles.
He walked into the depths of the darkness. Though the surroundings were so silent that only his own breathing could be heard, he still looked at ease.
Because he knew his Senior Brother must be nearby, sword in hand, waiting to drive its blade into his chest.
That was their agreement.
The shou enraged by fate X the gong driven mad by fate
Note:
1. The shou is a genuine villain, a true antagonist.
2. My own take on cultivation, with made-up worldbuilding.
3. HE, though the blurb might not make it seem that way, I mean it.
4. Daily updates. The story is nearing its end, but the update schedule is irregular.
5. To be continued, more to come...
Theme: Never submit to so-called fate
Xiaolan looks at Ning: He is so innocent and straightforward, so cool Ningkan Xiaolan: So innocent and straightforward, why do you look so good? Both of you
It's available in advance. Interested little cuties can click into my column to see the specific copy. Preview 1: "As the second male lead, I am also stubbornly following the plot today." Whose husband can the male protagonist be? Bigamy is illegal! Pre-release 2: "I'm also struggling to survive in the love finals today" This world is too dangerous, love should stay away from me. Damn it, let me be single till the end!
No matter what you do in the flower market, I don't have any trouble. If you kiss me in pure love, I will be as excited as a monkey.
Spread the flowers, the villain protagonist in capital letters is really the rare villain protagonist in Jinjiang who rubs my xp. Who knows how hard it is for me to find the same type of novels?
This is the protagonist with the lowest level of cultivation I have ever seen hahahahahaha
So sweet! It would be better if you don't turn on the lights. This is a green Jinjiang
It's a little sweet, "My senior brother is a person who keeps his promises."
The process was a bit confusing. Why didn't God kill him? What agreement has the world of cultivation reached with Heaven? Although it looks confusing, it doesn't affect the viewing.
Although I don't understand much, both of them deserve a better life!!
It's over. Wuwuwuwuwu. I can't bear to leave.
