One morning, Emperor Sheng woke up and found something new in his head.

The imperial physician entered the palace, trembling with fear.

Inside the hall, Emperor Sheng reclined on a soft couch, resting his head on his left hand, his phoenix eyes half-closed as if asleep.

After a while, a deep, low voice spoke: "Lately, I feel there may be something wrong in my head. Come and examine me, my dear physician."

The physician stepped forward and took his pulse.

A quarter of an hour later

The physician wiped the cold sweat from his forehead with his sleeve and stammered, "The, the summer heat is high, and Your Majesty seems to, to have some internal heat."

Emperor Sheng slowly raised his eyelids and drawled, "Go back to the Imperial Medical Bureau and reflect on your failure. If you can't figure out what's wrong with me in a month, I'll execute your entire clan."

The physician's legs shook as the guards carried him out.

The hall fell silent. Emperor Sheng closed his eyes as a good show began to play out in his mind.

Plot: Daiyu travels to the capital by boat and is treated with contempt. How will she react?

A. Don't fight back; observe cautiously. B. Turn around and leave. C. Weep silently. D. What kind of nobody are you to talk back to me?

Emperor Sheng frowned. Couldn't he just have them dragged out and beheaded?

At last

Daiyu's soft, calm voice rang out: "What kind of nobody are you to talk back to me?"

All the servants immediately knelt, thinking that this young lady from the Lin family was certainly not to be trifled with!

Daiyu herself felt a sudden pang of unease, wondering what had just happened. Why did it seem as if she had heard a man's voice?
