Story blurb:
This is the story of how the daughter of a low-ranking official in Yangzhou gradually wins the heart of the proud, unmarried Crown Prince.
Liu Yanjing is breathtakingly beautiful, charming and lively, and has been spoiled since childhood.
At sixteen, she is rescued by a handsome young man and falls for him at once, wanting nothing more than to marry him.
But this handsome young man is a lone wolf with a well-kept secret identity, and he loves finding ways to tease her. Only after his secret identity is revealed does she discover that he is the immensely noble Crown Prince!
Liu Yanjing is stunned: "C-can I still marry him?"
But the Liu family's daughters don't know the meaning of backing down. She grits her teeth and follows him into the Eastern Palace.
The Crown Prince wields great power over the court, yet for an indescribable reason, he has remained single for years. The Emperor urges him to marry all the time, but to no avail.
Then, while traveling incognito to the south on official business, he is confessed to by a fairy-like young woman. The usually composed and self-possessed Crown Prince is so shocked that he nearly spills his tea.
"You said you want to marry me?"
At first, he rejects her without mercy, all proud and haughty.
Later, he can't get enough of her. Having a sweetheart by his side is wonderful! Whoever stays single now is a dog!
Sweet, clever, dog-like noble heiress VS a reserved, cool, proud, deeply devoted wolf-like Crown Prince.
Reading guide:
The female lead really is a sweet, adorable girl: lively and innocent, not a traditional demure young lady.
No contrived plot devices or golden fingers. Both leads are each other's first love and have no prior relationships. A sweet romance with a happy ending. Fictional setting; no historical nitpicking, please.
Upcoming story: I Got Myself a Boyfriend
After graduating, Lu Manying travels all over for performances. She signs with a comedy company in Hangcheng and decides to settle there.
The night before, a sales agent recommended a luxury development in the city center that was about to be released for its final sale. The next day, she dresses elegantly and sashays over to the sales office to look at the apartments.
There's another man at the sales office who draws just as much attention. He wears an immaculate cream-colored shirt, an expensive watch on his wrist, and has dark, deep-set eyes and a cool, detached expression.
As it happens, Lu Manying and the man both set their sights on the same apartment. They both want to put down a deposit on the spot, and neither is willing to give way.
The sales agent anxiously watches as a fierce "battle for the apartment" is about to break out.
At last, the gentlemanly man decides not to argue with a woman. After silently looking at Lu Manying for several seconds, he gives her the apartment and settles for the one next door instead.
Three months later, Lu Manying posts on her social media: Bought a house and got a boyfriend.
The photo shows a wide river view and a giant advertisement featuring a landmark reflected in a floor-to-ceiling window. In front of the window, a couple's fingers are intertwined. The man's wrist bears a luxury watch, and his fingers are long, fair, and well-defined. Even without seeing his face, you can tell he's a rich, ridiculously handsome guy.
Lu Manying's social media feed immediately erupts. The comments pour in: "That can happen?" "Buy one, get one free, but make it French." "This single person has been working so hard and still can't afford a house, while you buy a house and fall in love, too." "Please share your secrets for getting rich and finding love."
As her friends and family flood her with messages, the male lead of the story merely lets a mysterious smile play on his lips. "In the end, the apartment I first wanted still ended up in my hands. I'm the one who made out like a bandit."
Later, Lu Manying turns her love story into a comedy bit and tells it on a stand-up show.
"Usually, people fight to pay the bill when they first meet. We were no different, except we were fighting over who'd buy the apartment. He very sensibly let me have it, then started pursuing me like crazy. After we started dating, I always thought I was the one who'd made out like a bandit. Until one day, I saw him holding the deed to my apartment with that mysterious smile. That's when I realized, oh my god, I'm the one who got played."
The audience erupts in laughter, and the judges hammer the button for a killer punchline.
Someone in the audience: "..."
Female comedian VS a steady, scheming CEO who founded his own company
Theme: Learn to understand and respect each other
Sure enough, the upper beam is not straight and the lower beam is crooked. The heroine's mental cheating has caused so many things. The heroine's true love comes first, over and over again. I judge it based on the three views of a modern person.
Following the article "Earning a Boyfriend", please go to the column to collect it. A straightforward and sober comedienne vs. A new generation of calm and shady CEO Continuation of the article "President, Stop Pretending", please collect it.
The heroine's mother is already married to the heroine's father and she still falls in love with someone else. I feel that the heroine's mother is a bit shameless!
Great author, why are you so bloody? You still have to guard the mausoleum! I think the male protagonist's father is not clear-headed, so why should I blame the female protagonist? Now that the male protagonist has ascended the throne, doesn't the princess have to be the queen? The Crown Princess's family has not been resolved either! Could it be that the male protagonist asked the female protagonist to guard the mausoleum and then during the period of guarding the mausoleum, the male protagonist settled everything and then chased his wife to the crematorium?
