Sir, Long Time No See

Wei Jue met Xie Ji when he was fourteen. Back then, Xie Ji was still an elegant young gentleman with refined features, and Wei Jue fell for him at first sight. They met again when Wei Jue was eighteen. The man who had once been as bright and noble as the moon had fallen into the mire, sentenced to hard labor and reduced to a slave. Wei Jue drew him from the dust to his side, lowered his eyes, and murmured, "Sir..." Years later, Wei Jue was a prince of exalted status. He reached out to the man from afar, his eyes holding the same admiration as before. "Sir, it's been a long time. I hope you've been well." Xie Ji's life was full of dramatic turns. His family fell into ruin, his older brother abandoned him, his childhood friend betrayed him, and he was reduced to a slave. He fell from the clouds into the mud, and when his heart was dead, he met Wei Jue. Wei Jue was the last ray of sunshine for him as he sank into the mire. One-on-one. Healing story. Not sure if it's melodramatic, sweet, or bittersweet. Happy ending. Theme:
