The World-Weary Second Male Lead Is Always Courting Death

The second brother in this story is psychologically abnormal. On the surface, he's perfectly normal: he cracks jokes, gets angry, and feels happy. But in truth, he's emotionally numb and utterly sick of life. He wants nothing more than to die, but not just any death, and he's never found the chance. It isn't until Yaoji is captured that the second brother finally makes his plan... Will the second brother at last get his wish and die? Maybe that will make this less angsty? [Content warnings] ◎ The characters are extremely out of character. The plot follows the original story, and includes some passages from the source, but I'll also add some of my own ideas. ◎ The world-weary second brother's top priority is always figuring out how to die. Family, brothers, friends, and the person he has a crush on all come after that. Though he's emotionally numb, he isn't completely without feeling. In the end, only Xiaotian Dog can truly reach his heart. ◎ Like in the original, he has a "crush" on Chang'e, but this should basically count as no pairing, right? ◎ My writing is awful, the plot is a bare-bones recap, and the tone is silly and irreverent. Don't read if that's not your thing! Theme: To be added.
