What! My Childhood Friend Has Been Secretly in Love with Me

[The blurb is written in first person; the main story is in third person] 1. I’m a doomed female supporting character. In a Mary Sue novel, the heroine, Ruan Yin, and I are the classic opposites. Ruan Yin is poor and kind; I’m rich and wicked. Ruan Yin wins my dad’s affection and my fiance’s admiration. I, on the other hand, oppose her, get kicked out of the house, and die. Damn it. I dragged my suitcase away. My dad mocked me from behind, and my fiance said I’d come crying back in less than an hour. I laughed coldly and went straight to Jiang Ye’s place. My childhood friend. My childhood friend is a famous star. I mooched off him, then he brought me along to a variety show, and then... I became famous. My dad and my ex-fiance begged me to come home. Of course I refused. But what’s with all these fans? Why do they want me to get together with Jiang Ye? We’re best friends, okay? And why has the way Jiang Ye looks at me started to change, too? Terrifying. 2. I’m Jiang Ye. I’ve been in love with the idiot Chi Ran for over ten years. I wanted to confess after we graduated from high school, but the idiot fell for someone else first and even got engaged to him. I was so mad that I cut off contact with her. I wanted her to see how cold and heartless I could be, and regret it. But before I could go find her, she showed up at my doorstep, soaking wet and pitiful, asking me to take her in. Do I look like a shameless person to you? I shut the door in her face. Three seconds later, I pulled her inside. Don’t scold me. I have my dignity. Later. The show Chi Ran and I were on became a huge hit, and a whole bunch of CP fans sprang up. I secretly checked the CP discussions every day and even made sure Chi Ran saw me doing it, waiting for the idiot to figure it out. I never expected her not only to post a clarification on Weibo, but to come to me looking for praise. I shut the door again, furious. She’s so hard to teach. Theme:
