Who Are You Looking at Through My Eyes?

[This is the same story as before, with the same plot and characters. I just felt the previous writing style didn't suit a short story, so I've refined it and gone straight to the main points!]

Everyone envies Yang Zeyu for marrying Chi Li, a beautiful woman with a gentle nature.

But only Yang Zeyu understands, in the instant he lifts Chi Li's red bridal veil and sees her face, that the person before him is destined to be nothing more than a substitute for Chi Li's twin brother, there to replace the brother who has passed away and stay by Yang Zeyu's side forever.

Yet Yang Zeyu, who had been a beloved child of heaven since birth, brave and extraordinary, never imagined that in Chi Li's eyes, he was just the same.

Chi Li cooks for him in the middle of the night only because Yang Zeyu's twin brother also liked sweet and sour fish. Chi Li is using the sight of him eating it to reminisce about the past.

Chi Li rushes around to care for him when he's hurt only because his face looks so much like his brother's. Chi Li can't bear to see that face drained of color.

Chi Li longs for him to come back day and night, not because he loves him, but because seeing that face is like seeing his brother.

Yang Zeyu: ...

Yang Zeyu: Never in a million years did I think I'd be my own substitute.

(1) Both the gong and the shou have twin brothers, and from the start, they are both in love with each other's younger brother.

(2) In this world, men can marry men. It's a firm 1v1 pairing. The characters and plot are the same as in the previous story, but I've refined it. After much thought, I decided the previous writing style didn't suit a short story.

(3) A stress-relieving short story, probably only seventy or eighty thousand words.

(4) I'm finally filling in the story! The new version will definitely be posted in November!
