Coming next in my column: Kiss Me Until I Burn [A sharp tongue feels good for a moment, then comes the chase-your-wife crematorium]. I'm doing all kinds of splits to beg you to add it to your reading list!
Blurb
Everyone at No. 1 High knows their big shot, He Sheng, is good at everything from fighting to smoking, except curling his hair. He especially hates delicate, girly girls.
Until one day, everyone sees him carefully holding a sweet, gentle little fairy in his arms. His words are harsh, but every trace of ferocity has vanished from his eyes. "You know you're not well, so why are you running around? Just wait till we get home. I'll deal with you!"
Everyone: "???" Home?! Deal with her?!
Ran Ran, who's boarding with the He family, has known all about the younger He brother's many misdeeds for ages. But she's not even afraid of death, so why would she be afraid of a rebellious teenager?
He Sheng: "Don't smile at me!"
Ran Ran: smiling with narrowed eyes.jpg
He Sheng: "Keep smiling and I'll kiss you!"
Ran Ran: expressionless.jpg
"..." The boy leaned down, lightly pecked the corner of her lips, and said softly, "Ran Ran, from now on, only smile at me like that, okay?"
Little scene:
After school one day
The underlings: "Brother Sheng, come on, let's shoot some pool."
He Sheng: "No! I'm going home to study!"
The underlings: "??? Study, study what?"
Before they could finish speaking, He Sheng slung his backpack over his shoulder and strode out. He rubbed the head of the little fairy from Class One waiting by the back door, grinning like someone else had taken over his body. "Let's go home!"
The underlings: "...⊙▽⊙"
A bratty rich kid who dotes on his wife x a delicate little fairy (things get better for them later~~)
P.S. The leads are childhood sweethearts who grew up together. The hero uses that to get away with acting like a jerk from early on.
One-on-one romance, happy ending, mutual healing, and a sweet little story that's bound to get silly.
Blurb for upcoming Kiss Me Until I Burn
[True chase-your-wife crematorium / faux raising-you-up / five-year age gap]
A flirtatious, sharp-tongued, arrogant young master x an outwardly soft but inwardly strong independent photographer
The first time Qiao Wen met Huo Ran, the man smiled with a roguish, carefree air. He deigned to lean down and ask her in a tone of condescending generosity, "Kid, want to come home with me? I'll take care of you."
Qiao Wen had nowhere to go. She pressed her lips together, looked up at him, and nodded.
Her friends joked that a playboy who never left a single leaf on the branch would never get involved with a little girl like her.
Later, on the night Qiao Wen needed Huo Ran by her side most, she asked him, "Brother Huo Ran, can you come home right now?"
From the other end of the phone came Huo Ran's lazy, teasing voice. "Be good. Don't be so needy. I'll be back later."
Everyone teased him: "Young Master Huo, aren't you going back to comfort your little Qiao?"
Huo Ran replied breezily, "When you keep a pet, do you have to give it therapy too?"
After hanging up, Qiao Wen gave a self-deprecating smile, packed her things, and left without hesitation.
Everyone laughed and asked, "Young Master Huo, we heard your little Qiao ran off?"
The man's expression turned faintly serious. A cigarette glowed red between his fingers, but he still said, "That pampered little house cat has been spoiled for years. Once she's had a taste of hardship, she'll come back on her own."
Later
At last, Huo Ran cornered her on a rainy night. He couldn't tell if the water on his face was rain or tears. Lowering his eyes, he asked, "Who was it that said she'd never leave me?"
Qiao Wen scoffed. "Young Master Huo, you believe what women say? Did the rain get in your ears and soak your brain?"
The man fell silent for several seconds, then finally lost his composure. He held her in his arms, looking aggrieved, and whispered by her ear, his voice tender and forlorn, "Yi Yi, come home. Please."
Little scene:
Huo Ran: "Kid, do you have a nickname?"
Qiao Wen shook her head.
Huo Ran rubbed her head. "Wen Wen doesn't sound nice, and too many people call you Little Qiao. You were born on the first day of the month, so from now on I'll call you Yi Yi."
"I'm the only one who gets to call you that." Huo Ran smiled charmingly, his tone possessive.
Qiao Wen hid her joy and nodded.
#You are the only one I want to kiss passionately in this life#, Huo Ran
A few things to know:
1. One-on-one romance, happy ending, and each other's first love. I still think it's a sweet story (doge).
2. The hero really is a flirt, and his tongue really is sharp.
3. Also known as A Sharp Tongue Feels Good for a Moment, Then Comes the Chase-Your-Wife Crematorium, Young Master Huo, Your Wife Ran Off, and Love Me Again, Wife.
