An Nuo always thought the boy she'd met at the age of twelve was just a figment of her imagination.
Until the summer after her college entrance exams, when she ran away from home and met the owner of a dessert shop. He had refined features and a cool air about him, and he was the spitting image of the boy from her vision.
An Nuo, whose family was loaded and whose heart was racing, appeared in front of the man in a flash. She blinked her doe eyes, looking like a little white flower blown about by the wind. "Excuse me, are you hiring summer workers?"
The man: "..."
-
Shi Yi always thought the little girl who played Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 in a small chapel that year, her face covered, was just a passing figure in his life.
Until she appeared before him, all bright and lively. Not only did she "sneak" her way into his shop, she also stood in front of him with absolute conviction and said, "Shi Yi, be my boyfriend."
His heart, calm and still for over twenty years, rippled under her teasing.
But before he could say yes, the girl disappeared without a word for three whole years.
Shi Yi: Hmph.
-
Then he saw the solo performance clip plastered across giant advertising screens everywhere: the first public performance back home by genius young pianist An Nuo.
Shi Yi: "I heard you're homeless and broke?"
An Nuo: "Y-you, let me explain."
"Little liar." The man trapped her before him, a carefree smile on his lips as his deep, magnetic voice fell by her ear. "Time to fulfill your duties as my girlfriend."
An Nuo: QAQ
-
To make it up to him, An Nuo worked hard at being a good girlfriend after returning home.
That is, until the first time she went home with Shi Yi, sitting in a yellow-plated Maybach Zeppelin heading to a villa in the middle of a lake.
An Nuo: "Heh, I heard you sell cakes?" :)
Shi Yi: "..."
"Mr. Shi," An Nuo said, poking the man's chest with her fingertip, her doe eyes curving into a playful smile. "How about a deluxe 'win your wife back after driving her away' package?"
Shi Yi: "...?"
A secretly flirtatious man who'll have to go home and inherit a fortune worth billions if he can't sell cakes (not really) VS a sweet, soft, goofy little fox who can do nothing but play the piano (not true).
One-on-one romance, happy ending, seven-year age gap.

★ Coming Soon to My Profile: "Spring Colors Are Hard to Tame" ★
The youngest daughter of the Shi family of Jiangcheng, who had been lost, has finally returned.
The entire Shi family would give her the stars, and insist on adding the moon, too.
At the start of the school year at No. 2 High, Shi Nian paraded around with the younger sister he'd finally found.
Everyone saw the springlike little girl tucked under Shi Nian's arm and misunderstood. "Your sister-in-law is incredible! Seriously!"
"What are you thinking?!" Shi Nian snapped. "She's my sister!"
The fiery big shot Shi Nian turned around and smiled like an idiot. "Sui Sui, call me big brother."
Just then, Shi Nian's nemesis, Jiang Xun, happened to walk by. He was a poor (?), top student, devastatingly handsome, and hard as nails in both body and temperament.
Chun Sui had barely gotten halfway through calling him "big brother" when she turned to Jiang Xun and sweetly called, "Big brother!"
Jiang Xun glanced at the siblings with his phoenix eyes, then turned away indifferently and left.
Shi Nian, eternal runner-up, always beaten by him on exams: "???" Ahhhhh, what the hell was that attitude?! And why do you get one more syllable in "big brother" than I do?!
Shi Nian's greatest wish had once been to trample Jiang Xun underfoot and make the hardheaded guy willingly call him "big brother."
That was until he saw his nemesis pin his little sister against a wall (they didn't kiss, absolutely not).
Shi Nian was furious. "You can pin me down, fine, but now you want to pin my sister down too?!"
Jiang Xun shielded Chun Sui behind him and lazily turned his head. "Big brother."
Chun Sui: "…"
Shi Nian: "???" Ahhhhh, don't call me big brother! I don't want you as my brother-in-law!!
Little scene:
Chun Sui: "Why did you pretend not to know me?"
Jiang Xun: "I was afraid you'd fall for me."
Chun Sui scoffed. "Then why did you stop pretending?"
The spring night breeze carried the faint scent of flowers.
Jiang Xun tilted his head, gazing at the girl laughing as she swung her legs from a branch. He chuckled softly. "Because... I like you."
