Everyone Around Me Is a Literary Master, Except Me

Main story completed on September 4, 2020. The bonus chapters were completed on October 31.

My name is Qiao Shutong. As you can see, I was sent by China to Yokohama, Japan, as an "exchange student" to experience another country's culture, even though I'm actually a teacher, not a student.

But for some reason, although the letter clearly said my destination was an organization called the "Special Division for Unusual Powers," I was taken to the headquarters of a group of men in black. Oh, I know where I am: Yokohama's top gang, the Port Mafia.

I thought that after ending up in an evil organization like the Port Mafia, I was bound to meet a bad end.

Who would have guessed that I'd go from hostage to a teacher hired by the Port Mafia?

And then I saw...

A certain control freak boss sucking up to his daughter every day (ability);

The hat rack angrily demonstrating what zero reading comprehension looks like;

The bandage-wearing pest explaining how to skip class properly;

The hardheaded kid showing off that as long as your head is hard enough, you don't have to fear getting beaten up;

The little tiger... Never mind, he's actually very well-behaved.

"Have you memorized today's lesson? Finished your homework? Read ahead for tomorrow's class?"

"Hah, and you still want to go out and cause trouble when you haven't done any of that?"

What can a poor, helpless, and delicate person like me do against this crowd, who have brains and brawn in spades?

"I guess you leave me no choice. You brought this on yourselves." I sighed solemnly, finally unleashing my inner power and using my ability.

"Read the whole text aloud and memorize it, you good-for-nothings!"

Oh, right. I'm not a local, but I do have an ability.

It's called "The Narrator," also known as "Class isn't over until you've memorized everything."

[Notes Before Reading]

1. The female lead is an original character. This is probably a Crossover with Bungo Stray Dogs, with Chinese authors joining in for fun. The parts involving Britain were written before the incident happened (check when the chapters were drafted and posted before criticizing the author for writing them). Readers who want to avoid those parts are warned in chapters 4-6, but since they involve the main plot, I don't recommend skipping them all. You can read some of them and the author's notes.

2. So much wish fulfillment! The characters will be OOC, the characters will be OOC, the characters will be OOC! Important things must be said three times! The female lead travels from the real world into a fictional one. She hasn't read Bungo Stray Dogs, but she knows about the historical figures.

3. Updates are whenever the mood strikes. The default assumption is that readers have read Bungo Stray Dogs. The author talks a lot and may get depressed without encouragement. Add it to your favorites and leave comments so the author has the motivation to keep going!
