Duplicating Earth

(My next novel will be Emergency Department's Cold Doctor. Please add it to your favorites. I'll start writing once it reaches the target.)

Blurb:

Earth's greenhouse effect grows increasingly severe. The Antarctic ice sheets melt across vast areas, causing sea levels to rise by 40 meters. The land available for human habitation shrinks drastically, with all low-lying areas submerged. Carnivorous marine fish run rampant.

To protect the remaining land, the Earth Alliance has enacted a law: anyone who damages the environment will be exiled from Earth.

A group of lawbreakers are exiled from Earth aboard the same spaceship. Some of them have been framed. Archaeologist Lan Xi is falsely accused of environmental destruction in a dispute with a colleague and is sentenced to exile as well.

As the spaceship drifts aimlessly, a powerful gravitational force sends it crashing onto an unknown green planet.

Lan Xi is astonished to discover that the planet's resources are almost identical to Earth's. It has breathable oxygen, fresh water, and vegetation. But just as they are celebrating, a gigantic creature appears in the forest: a Tyrannosaurus rex! A pterosaur circles overhead!

The planet is currently in a period equivalent to Earth's Cretaceous. This is the golden age of the dinosaurs.

These people plan to survive on a planet ruled by dinosaurs, and even recreate a version of Earth.

The unserious blurb:

Would you like to keep a pterosaur as a pet? Or how about a triceratops? With enough food, perhaps you could even raise a Tyrannosaurus rex. See how these people from the future tame and train the giant dinosaurs. When they're as obedient as the dogs at home, won't they be adorable?
