(My next book, Emergency Room’s Cold Doctor, will update once it reaches the required number of saves.)
Beneath the throne, all are mere grass. Plot for the realm, assassinate the ruler. The Buddha does not hear, the immortal descends. Killing intent rises from every direction; good and evil cannot coexist. All under heaven yearn for peace, while travelers from another time and space enjoy great honors. May you command the world and win an undying reputation. I will remember you forever, never at rest. In the next life, let us become butterflies and dance among the flowers again.
Born with an aura of ill fortune, Xi Yue can be sweet or salty, gentle or strong, righteous or wicked. Immortal Venerables of the immortal realm, be careful not to suffer a backlash when trying to win her heart.
Extra Scene 1:
In the misty immortal realm, phoenixes circled overhead and cranes cried out. The lotus fairy guarding the Jade Pool suddenly doubled over in pain and accidentally fell into the water. She struggled several times but could not climb out. As she passed away, she gave birth to a silver lotus bud.
No immortal had ever seen a bud of that color, and the immortals of the realm flocked to see it.
Shangshen Guanyu had not left his home on Penglai, where he cultivated, in more than a hundred thousand years. Hearing that a strange phenomenon had appeared at the Jade Pool, he went there to investigate with his eldest disciple.
Suddenly, silver light flashed blindingly in the lotus pond. The water boiled, and the cranes and phoenixes seemed to be startled into diving into the pool, sending the watching immortals tumbling in every direction.
Guanyu flew forward, an ivory-white fan appearing in his hand. In an instant, white mist swirled around him. He gathered his power and sent the silver lotus rising from the pool into the air.
At the same time, phoenixes and cranes burst through the water and surged up to the Ninth Heaven. The silver light suddenly vanished, and a pink little baby wrapped in lotus petals fell from the sky!
Guanyu swept his sleeve, put away the white fan, and caught the baby!
This earth-shaking baby would one day become the female Shangshen feared by both immortals and demons: Xi Yue!
Extra Scene 2:
To preserve Xi Yue’s modesty, Shangshen Guanyu had to find another way. He carried Xi Yue into the pool and settled her securely against the stone wall. Then he tore a strip of white fabric from the hem of his robe and blindfolded himself with it. The fabric let in a faint glimmer of light, enough to see a person’s outline but not their features.
He took a deep breath, raised both hands, and cast a spell over the water. Stirred by his spiritual power, the water rose into the air like a pair of human hands, gently removing Xi Yue’s clothes one piece at a time and setting them on the bank.
Several white candles stood on the floor around the hot spring pool, their orange flames flickering in the breeze. Beside the clothes rack stood a tiered bronze candle stand topped with a phoenix head. Its candles had already burned down.
Xi Yue’s upper body was bare as she sank into the pool, with only her head above the surface. The orange candlelight fell across her face, making her look even more delicate. Her fine, straight brows curved slightly upward at the ends, and her thick, curled lashes glistened with moisture. Her face could turn the hearts of all under heaven, too easily becoming the cause of strife. Her hair spread through the water, some strands winding across her chest, far too alluring.
The ivory hairpin was still in her bun. It was the only thing she wore that carried a man’s aura.
Bubbles rose gently from the milky-white water, releasing wisps of steam as they burst. The scene was dreamlike and far too intimate. A blush crept over Guanyu’s face. Afraid he might have improper thoughts, he hurriedly backed away a full zhang.
“Yueyue, I won’t let anything happen to you!”
He did not leave at once. Instead, he floated cross-legged on the water, eyes tightly shut and both arms lowered into the pool. The spiritual power at his fingertips guided the current to gently soothe Xi Yue’s wounds.
One hour, two hours...
Theme: Defying fate takes effort; difficulties are stepping stones on the road to success
Oh my god, this ambiguous moment, hahaha.
It turns out to be a trick! I really hate Le Qi!
Is it Leqi? I'm curious what was lost?
Xi Yue's answer is really embarrassing! Ha ha
Damn, it's been so hard to wait
It's great to get big names! I particularly like the name Xiyue.
Wow, finally a new post*
