A Marriage to Bring Good Fortune (GL)

[Lighthearted Version] The Minister of War's son remarked, "It's such a shame for Miss Ji, the Prime Minister's daughter, to marry the sickly young princess." The next day, Su Ping'an beat him so badly he couldn't get out of bed for three days. "The Minister of War came to see the prince today." "He said I'm a sickly person. He deserved a beating." The young princess had no regrets whatsoever. "Aren't you sickly?" Ji Wanwan teased. "You should know whether I am or not." [Serious Version] When Ji Wanwan married into the Prince Su's household, the young princess declared, "I will never acknowledge you as my wife." Ji Wanwan didn't mind. She had no interest in trading barbs with the young princess. But the more she acted that way, the more the young princess seemed to enjoy giving her a hard time. Gradually, though, Ji Wanwan came to see the kindness in her heart. "What's wrong with you? Those servants' gossip has reached my ears." "You're my wife. How can you let them talk about you like that?" You gave me a quince; I repay you with a precious jade pendant. That's why Ji Wanwan could say, "Now that I have married the young princess, I will belong to her for the rest of my life." "In life, we share a bed; in death, we share a grave. Your Majesty need not concern yourself." An alternate dynasty, a proud young princess × a virtuous daughter of the Prime Minister. A marriage-first, love-later romance in a feudal society.
