[New novel "Gentle Haven" is currently updating and nearing completion]
The Yi Kingdom has a special institution: the Wen Residence. It has neither official status nor power, yet the late emperor protected it well. That continued until the late emperor passed away and the new emperor ascended the throne.
When the new emperor took the throne, everyone assumed he would care for the Wen Residence as he had in the past. But he did no such thing. Instead, he tormented the Wen family so badly that it was hard to put into words. At last, a minister could no longer bear to watch and hoped that the gentleness of the Wen family's legitimate daughter might soften the emperor's brutality.
On a snowy night, Wen Chujiu was sent into the palace.
She knew, of course, that life in the palace would not be good for her. But she had not imagined the man would be even more brutal than she had pictured. He tormented her day after day. He was the one who could be gentle, and he was also the one who tormented her.
One day, unable to bear the pressure any longer, Wen Chujiu took a drug that made her appear dead. She thought the man hated her so much that he would simply throw her into a mass grave. But when she awoke, she discovered that he had not only posthumously honored her as empress, but that the entire Yi Kingdom was mourning her, with all celebrations forbidden for a year.
Years later, they met again. The man had become Emperor Yanqing, a ruler whose name struck terror into people's hearts, while she was a princess in a small border kingdom.
Wen Chujiu looked at the man who had discovered she was still alive and had once again found ways to bind her and imprison her freedom. Without hesitation, she stepped out of the palace hall. With her back to him, her voice carried an unusual detachment as she said, "Qi Chen, let me go."
The man lowered his head, his eyes reddening. He remained silent for a moment, then walked up to her and placed a dagger in her hand. Facing Wen Chujiu, who was determined to leave, he said quietly, "If you insist on going..."
He pointed to his own heart. "Stab me here."
"The whole realm is yours. Let me go." The man's mouth twisted in a self-mocking smile, and his eyes held an almost pathological obsession. "Otherwise, Wen Chujiu, I will never let you go. Remember, in life you are mine, and in death, you are mine too."
1. This is actually a sweet romance, with a happy ending, one-on-one, and both leads are each other's first.
2. Blurb written on May 27, 2019.
3. Content warning: The male lead really is brutal in the early part of the story, and the female lead fakes her death.
While she is presumed dead, the female lead marries the second male lead, but they do not go all the way.
4. [The male lead really is a tyrant, and truly pathological. Enter with caution.]
(P.S. No matter how brutal the male lead is, he remains pure in both body and heart. He is also extremely possessive, and even when he bullies someone, he only bullies the female lead. He's actually kind of pitiful too. T_T)

The next novel, "Like a Dream," is available in my author column.
Everyone says Xu Yuancheng was born beautiful and lucky. Before she was even born, while still in the Duchess's womb, the royal family had already chosen her as their son's future wife. She never suffered the slightest grievance as she grew up.
But all the glory of the Duke's residence came to an end on the day Xu Yuancheng eloped with the heir, Li Shu.
Li Shu was wild by nature and no one could keep him in check. He was a notorious wastrel in the capital, accomplished neither in letters nor arms, with only one talent: he was a master at using honeyed words to deceive women.
She summoned all the courage she had and risked everything, believing she had met the right man. But Li Shu thought nothing of it. He ordered her around and made her suffer. When she fell gravely ill, he simply turned around and went back to the capital, where he married and had children, utterly indifferent to whether she lived or died.
She was brought back to the capital, but no medicine could save her, and she died full of resentment.

Given another chance at life, Xu Yuancheng burned every one of his shabby poems to ashes. Then she gritted her teeth and made the sensible choice: dressed in phoenix crown and bridal robes, she entered the Eastern Palace and preserved all the glory of the Duke's family.
On their wedding night, a man's clean, slender fingers lifted her chin. A hint of amusement glimmered in his eyes. "Why are you speaking so softly, like a cat meowing?"
His lips curved slightly. "Are you afraid of me?"
Xu Yuancheng shook her head, then nodded.
Xu Yuancheng used every trick she had, all so that when the man successfully ascended the throne, she could keep his favor and naturally become empress.
Later...
One night, Yan Cheng looked at Xu Yuancheng and suddenly felt mischievous. He cornered the little woman at the very back of the bed, the corners of his mouth lifting as he drawled, "Come on, call me husband."
Looking at the man's handsome face, so different from his true nature, Xu Yuancheng trembled with fear and softly stammered, "Hus...band."
That single word made Yan Cheng melt to the bone.
Afterward, whenever night came and he tossed and turned, he would remember her calling him husband. It kept him awake in the small hours of the morning.
Yan Cheng thought Xu Yuancheng was never satisfied. He had given her the position of empress and showered her with affection, yet she still acted so delicate and fragile that he could hardly bring himself to scold her.
The music ended, and the dance stopped.
Yan Cheng stretched out his long arm and drew the exhausted Xu Yuancheng into his embrace.
His voice was hoarse. "Do you want something from me?" After a pause, he added, "That won't work on me."
Xu Yuancheng's lotus-petal face flushed red, and her jade-white fingers rested on the man's shoulder.
The moment he felt her touch, his brow furrowed, but he still said, pleased, "Granted."
Granted?
She hadn't even said what she wanted yet.
Both leads are each other's first.
Blurb captured in a screenshot on March 8.
The female lead is not a delicate, naive airhead. She has plenty of little schemes of her own. She only pretends to be delicate because she thinks the male lead likes that sort of girl!
A cold, indifferent crown prince x a mischievous, alluring crown princess
Theme: Growing through love and learning to cherish what you have.
Although the male protagonist is quite annoying at first, it becomes too miserable later on.
It feels very far-fetched, and,,, it's a bit too vernacular
The male protagonist was a bit too much in the early stage.
Actually, I'm the kind of person who likes novels that are a bit sadistic, because too sweet stories make me feel unreal and I can't stand it. In fact, I really liked this novel. The crematorium part in the middle was really enjoyable. I thought that even if I knew the male protagonist, he would do that for a certain reason. It wouldn't be the case. I was very touched, but I really cried when I saw it at the end. I still felt sorry for the male protagonist. He didn't say anything and suffered it silently alone. It was really tiring. He just didn't know how to express his feelings. If he was really cremated in the end and there was no recovery, I would definitely cry to death after looking at the male protagonist's past.
It seems like almost half a year has passed since I first read it... I watched it again... I'm still very moved.
Damn, I'm crying. Are you responsible for buying toilet paper? It's been a long, long time since I've read a novel and I cried. It's obviously a sweet novel, but I was so tortured by the ending, woo woo woo woo! I read the pirated article and then came back to pay to read it. Am I stupid? However, I just like the first and last drinks, the love that lasts together, and the loyalty to each other.
This article... Is purely for the sake of torture, right? There is no logic in the abuse. Why doesn't the male protagonist explain to the female protagonist?
Could the author consider writing a side story where the island nation is not destroyed? Both the dog man and Jin Xian have had such a miserable life.
