Have All My Pets Become Sentient?

A good-for-nothing protagonist: weak, poor, unlucky, and fond of small animals. He often rescues sick and injured animals, and even brings some home to raise. But it seems his pets have all become spirits? The first one he brought home, a black cat, is solitary and domineering. It considers itself the family's first wife, and whenever another little minx joins the household, it roars and hisses in fury. It's fierce, but ever since it arrived, the protagonist's luck has been steadily improving. The second one he brought home, his second wife, Little Yellow, is a warm-hearted little mutt. Apart from carrying groceries, fetching slippers, and keeping watch at the door, it's just a happy, brainless suck-up. Yet every now and then, it bares its teeth and glares fiercely at some empty corner. The third wife to enter the household is a parrot, skilled at everything from pop songs to rap. Every day, it takes it upon itself to translate for the other wives. The fourth wife is a little white mouse. There's nothing wrong with it, except that it likes to dance under the moon, insists on dragging the protagonist into its dances, and never misses when it curses someone. From then on, the good-for-nothing protagonist lives a happy life: finding money on the street, winning the lottery, watching his opponents suffer one mishap after another, and having his wives help build his fanbase whenever he livestreams. Cute pets, everyday life, and a little something to lift your spirits. I write whatever comes to mind, so readers who don't like everyday stories might not enjoy it. The gong will probably be the last to arrive and compete for attention as a human-shaped fifth pet wife...
