Reborn as a Foolish Emperor

>>> In his previous life, Gong Xun faithfully carried out his duties as crown prince. He honored his parents and cared for his siblings, always courteous, gentle, respectful, and frugal. In the end, he was accused of treason and harboring sinister ambitions, and thrown into prison.

Abandoned by his suspicious father and betrayed by the brothers he trusted, Gong Xun could only blame himself for misjudging people. But when he watched his beloved die by the enemy’s blade, her body torn apart by five horses and abandoned in the wilderness, he could no longer endure the grief in his heart.

He He was his brother, his beloved. Once a dashing young man who rode boldly through Changjin, claiming the souls of ten li of Changjin, he ultimately became a lonely ghost in the Changjin forest.

Reborn into another life, Gong Xun cast aside his former mediocrity.

To hell with being courteous, gentle, respectful, and frugal! To hell with honoring those above and loving those below! To hell with keeping a low profile!

If his father didn’t trust him, then he would become the “foolish ruler” his father expected him to be.

If his brothers betrayed him, then he would be the cruel one who struck down his own kin first.

No matter how the world condemned him, all he wanted was for his He Miao to live a safe and peaceful life.

“In this life, whether the road ahead is smooth or full of hardship and danger, I will protect you!”

“This kingdom is mine, and I am yours.”

>>> The world called Crown Prince Gong Xun cruel and immoral, unfit for the throne, having lost both the people’s support and his officials’ loyalty.

Only He Miao stayed by his side from beginning to end, joining him in his “treasonous” deeds.

A friend advised him: “Gong Xun is fickle and suspicious. He’s really not a good man. One day, he’ll abandon you too. You should leave as soon as you can.”

He Miao only smiled. “I don’t ask him to be good. I only ask that he live a safe and peaceful life.”

Don’t tell others to be kind if you haven’t suffered what they have.

Gong Xun was so glad He Miao understood him.
