Is My Roommate the Top or the Bottom?

A clean BL novel that I started serializing on the Danmei forum in 2006. (If you’re looking for explicit scenes, feel free to head elsewhere.) Back then, I was an innocent, pure, kind-hearted little darling who didn’t know how to be an evil stepmother or how satisfying it was to torment the protagonist (you should just die). Last year, I put the story on hold for a year because of school entrance exams (standardized tests are the death of me). In the meantime, the Danmei forum changed, OTZ (What are you talking about?)...

Anyway, I’ve moved the story here. I don’t know if I’ll keep updating over there... Oh, I will, I will. I’m a good kid, after all. (Yeah, right.)

Bai Hengyin, the protagonist, is a name I borrowed from a supporting character in one of my other stories. He’s in his second year of high school. Sex: intersex.

He first appears as a girl, then chooses to live as a boy after a series of events. Please don’t assume this is a gender-swap story, because he was intersex to begin with. There’s no need to worry; we all learned about intersex people in middle-school biology.

Bai Hengyin has a very group-leader-like personality, and is also quite twisted. He’s a shut-in, a fujoshi, a yuri fan, and a fan of lolitas, shotas, mature women, beautiful young men, and pretty voices. In short, he’s into all of it. Around him are a cousin, a younger cousin, a pseudo-triad boss (he’s really just a local thug), a fiancée, a male host, a gentle seme, a beautiful uke, a childhood friend (a girl), and a whole cast of random passersby, but this isn’t a harem story. Most of these people are simply hanging around him.

And so begins a story that’s twisted beyond belief. Those who aren’t shut-ins can skip those parts if they like. Readers who dislike shifts between first-person male and female narration can skip large sections, though I did say he’s intersex...
