The Rebirth of Fu Jin's Might

[My Exile Made Me a Tycoon is now updating! Coming soon: Madam Lingluo / This Fairy Is No Paragon. See my profile for the blurbs.]

Empress Xiaojingxian was reborn before giving birth to Honghui. Rubbing her swollen belly, she met Fourth Master Ye's gaze, the corner of her mouth lifting in a sneer.

Catch a thief red-handed?

The Li clan is innocent?

The Niu Hulu clan is guileless?

The Nian clan is indifferent to worldly desires?

Are you blind?

She wanted to see how this master could keep up that proud face when the wonderful things he had believed in became nothing but a fleeting infatuation!

With a few casual words, she let Fourth Master Ye know that she wasn't the only one who had failed to live up to his expectations.

Since he thought she was a venomous woman, she might as well become one in earnest...

But why was this master still living in the main courtyard instead of leaving?

Oh, so he had been reborn from the time when the Nine Princes fought over the throne?

Heh heh heh... That made things easy!

Little scenes

"The Li clan's curtsy was improper. Make her hold it for an hour!"

"You venomous woman, what are you trying to do?"

"My lord, we must observe proper etiquette. If Her Majesty Consort De finds out..."

"Get on your knees!"

"The Niu Hulu clan's attire is improper. Confine her for a month and have her copy the scriptures three times!"

"Make it ten times!"

"My lord, we must observe proper etiquette... Huh?"

"The Princess Consort is always right!"

"Am I not a venomous woman?"

"I was wrong!"

"No, you weren't!"

"The Princess Consort is always right!"

"..."

The women of the household fainted in the latrine~

A forceful, liberated Fourth Princess Consort VS a proper, uptight Fourth Master who comes to love it~

Warnings:

1. I'm no history expert, so many details won't stand up to scrutiny. Feel free to treat this as a semi-alternate history.

2. Fourth Master Ye starts out in the body of a thirty-year-old, but he still grows little by little.

3. At first, Fourth Master Ye is a bit of a jerk, immature and thoroughly unlikeable. He only changes for the better gradually, under the Princess Consort's "tutelage (torment)."

Blurb for My Exile Made Me a Tycoon

Miao Wan only discovered that she had transmigrated into a palace-intrigue novel while being exiled alongside her husband's family.

Of course, palace intrigue had nothing to do with her.

She was the cannon-fodder wife whom the female lead's childhood friend and cousin, Qiao Ruichen, had married at his parents' command.

The Qiao family was caught up in palace intrigue, framed, and sent into exile.

The original wife couldn't adjust to the bitter cold of the northwest. After miscarrying, she fell ill and died, appearing at the end of the novel only as a grave.

Miao Wan looked at her mother-in-law, shivering in a dilapidated house as she did embroidery to support the family, and her sister-in-law, whose hands were swollen like turnips from washing vegetables. She rubbed her rounded belly and sighed.

Well, since she was here, she might as well make the best of it. First, a small goal: avoid ending up as a grave, and make a tiny fortune.

As for being unable to adjust to the northwest's bitter cold and miscarrying?

She was a born-and-raised northwestern girl, famous far and wide as a master pig farmer. She could raise over a thousand pigs just fine. How could she not raise a baby?

No chance of that.

Reader notes:

1. This is a chaotic alternate history. The male lead and the original novel's female lead have no romantic entanglement, and the heroine is already pregnant when she transmigrates.

2. The story starts in the northwest. It's satisfying and stress-free from the start.

3. The main plot is raising a baby and making money. There's little romance, and the male lead is mainly a plot device.

Theme: Live life earnestly.
