The Wind God's Guardian

There is a kind of god born to protect. Even after losing the power of faith, he is willing to fall into a demon's form, continuing to protect the humans who no longer remember him.

So...

"You've protected so many people. Who will protect you?"

The wind blew past.

He said, "I don't need anyone to protect me, because I'll protect everything myself."

"With your demonic power, or with your one remaining eye?"

The youth wore white. Standing before a crumbling ruin, he spoke with the devotion of someone praying: "I am your priest. Even if the whole world forgets you, I will remember you. You can protect everything you wish to protect, and I will protect you."
