[Maybe It’ll Open!]
An unfamiliar world.
At least, it wasn’t his world.
His wife and children were nowhere to be seen.
He was all alone.
A middle-aged man stood in the middle of the road, plunged into a rare moment of confusion. He took down one kidnapper with each punch, then carried two in one hand and another child on his back. With a blank expression, he watched the red-haired man sobbing at the burning van with his back turned to them.
And so, thanks to his impressive knife skills, he became a fishmonger. His customers, however, were difficult to please.
“Do you have chocolate cookies?”
“No.”
“Do you have pinup books of pretty girls?”
“No, I don’t.”
“Tch, why open a shop if you don’t have anything?”
So he also became a courier, a milkman, a barista, a gardener, a hacker...
“Boss, what do you actually do?”
“Kiriri Seiichi. Just an ordinary detective.”
Edogawa Ranpo: There’s nothing ordinary about this old guy! He’s obviously one of those retired Public Security types! Or maybe ‘secret agent’ would be more accurate.
The middle-aged man’s crimson eyes were like dried blood. When he looked at someone, his gaze seemed like that of a precision scanner. His strange stare made Edogawa Ranpo bristle like an angry cat.
“?”
A hand settled on Edogawa Ranpo’s head and gently ruffled his hair.
This child reminded him so much of his daughter.
And so, an Armed Detective Agency appeared in Yokohama, with two extraordinary detectives among its ranks.
One of them had crimson eyes and a stern face that made him look more like an assistant director who had crawled out of hell.
A brother and sister in the Slums watched him take down a gang of kidnappers in a few quick moves, then walk toward them.
The brother, whose hair hung over his ears like a rabbit’s, seemed surrounded by dancing shadows.
At last, a flicker of emotion crossed the red-eyed middle-aged man’s gaze.
“You have a special ability, just like my daughter.”

What a strange place.
So what era is this?
Even Google had no information whatsoever on Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High School.
This was giving her a bit of a headache.
Kiriri Mariko, dressed in business attire and high heels, had been taking part in a television interview just a moment ago. She tilted her head and gently caught a child who suddenly darted out of the bushes.
The child struggled in terror, as if he had seen something horrifying.
His clear amber eyes were like a cat’s slits.
“I’m not a bad person.” Her light, soothing voice made it hard not to relax.
Natsume Takashi slowly opened his eyes and cautiously studied the beautiful woman before him, who looked like a fairy.
“You can see things ordinary people can’t, just like my daughter.”
This mother clearly knew a thing or two about children with special gifts.
Always passed around from one relative to another, Natsume Takashi finally found a permanent home for the first time. Perhaps it was better to call it a family?
Some time later, the Kiriri couple finally reunited. They looked at each other, then at the children holding their hands.
“So, besides our daughter, you’ve taken in another child?”
A strange family appeared in Tokyo. The father had black hair and red eyes, and never smiled. The mother had purple hair and black eyes, and was always smiling.
They had a pair of black-haired siblings at home, with sharp eyes and swift movements like assassins.
There was also a boy with amber eyes who had a fat cat, and sometimes talked to things no one else could see.
But strangest of all was their eldest daughter, whose whereabouts remained unknown.
“Hello, have you seen my daughter/sister, Kiriri Meimeiko?”
Note: 1. The Kiriri couple are from the author’s column, Jujutsu Is a Gundam Pilot. They are Meimeiko’s parents.
2. Jujutsu Kaisen will not appear in the main story. The main crossover series are Bungo Stray Dogs and Natsume’s Book of Friends, with a few other slice-of-life anime mixed in. You can still enjoy the story even if you haven’t seen them.
3. The only pairing in this story is the parents’ love story! Everyone else follows their canon pairings.
I’ll add more when I think of it...
