The Tyrant Dreams of Me Every Night

Jiang Lingbao has a secret: she can enter other people's dreams and change them.

Each time she enters a dream, her face grows a little lovelier, and her frail body grows healthier by the day.

Dreams have color and flavor to her, each with its own taste.

Faced with a family full of problems, she buries her head and eats her way to a happy life.

She swallows her mother's nightmare,

and the jealous, short-tempered Madam returns to her gracious, virtuous self, managing the household with perfect order.

She eats up the lazy dreams of her father and elder brother,

and the carefree father and son pull themselves together, vowing to protect Lingbao.

She crushes her younger half-brother's dream of doing himself in and swallows it like a snack.

Jiang Lingbao gains a little shadow who idolizes his legitimate elder sister, much to the concubine mother's fury. She doesn't eat for three days.

Until one day, she meets Prince Su, scorned by the emperor and known for his vicious, volatile temperament.

He carries the darkest, most painful nightmares, and Jiang Lingbao's eyes light up with hunger.

Others say the Duke's legitimate daughter is feeding herself to a tiger, an admirable act of courage.

Only Jiang Lingbao knows

that she's the one whose body and soul are being fed!

Sensitive, insecure Prince Su x gentle, food-loving Lingbao

[To outsiders, the pitiful Princess Consort Su. She ate her way to becoming empress.]

Nobody likes him, except his princess consort.

She never looks down on him. Instead, she loves and protects him from the bottom of her heart, praising him every day as the finest husband (food) in the world.

When he gives up on himself,

only Jiang Lingbao tells him, "Let's try again."

This time, Prince Su's rebellion succeeds.
