Blurb:
Recommendations for danmei novels that aren't contemporary. Choose whichever categories suit your taste; the main genres are xianxia, cultivation, and infinite-flow.
My recommendations reflect my personal preferences, which may differ from the mainstream. Apart from a few supernatural and ghost-hunting novels I recommended years ago, I hardly read contemporary danmei anymore. I've changed the blurb accordingly, so if you like realistic contemporary danmei, there's no need to waste your time here.
I'm not part of any fandom, nor am I a fan of anyone in particular. I'll recommend any story I happen to come across that has at least one of these qualities: a compelling plot, engaging characters, or a profound theme. Some are famous classics, while others are so obscure they're practically at the North Pole.
Each recommendation includes a synopsis, my thoughts, and what I like or dislike. I'm not used to copying blurbs verbatim, so I usually summarize from memory. Please forgive me if I don't get everything quite right. I'll gradually remove the recommendation ratings as I revise the posts. If a story has a rare setup, such as a loyal-dog shou, I'll point it out separately.
After reading for so long, I've realized it's hard to find anyone on the same path. Everyone understands stories differently, and we always end up keeping each other at a distance to some extent. I still want to write recommendations, but I no longer expect anyone to understand or like them. I just have no one else to talk to.
(The recommendations have since gone off track and started including the anime and danmei games I like. I'm letting loose, woohoo!)
Theme: To have found it is my good fortune.
I finally found a friend who shares my nightmares!!! I tried my best not to read the copy while watching the nightmare, which caused my Su and PTSD to never recover. The battle was so brutal, almost all the supporting characters died cleanly, but when I think of the tombstones of the Qile people on the Island of the Dead, I think hahaha. There are many people in nightmares. Even though they have been hurt, they are still willing to release kindness to the world. I think this is where the nightmare moved me. An ordinary person can also sacrifice for the Land of Twilight (I don't need to say who it is). He can become a god but is betrayed for the sake of the world. After integrating into the origin, a saint can draw a sword against her lover to protect the holy city. The Great Wheel has been creating a kind of opposition between the people in the world and yourself, your lover. How to choose? How should you choose between your strength, origin and your lover? Zheng Nanxing, Maria, Qi Leren, Ning Zhou, and Lu Cangshu, they chose the world to destroy the devil (Ning's father). He chose strength, but was willing to die at the hands of his lover. This choice has nothing to do with right or wrong, but is related to the person's pursuit and hope. That's what moves us. When the author was updating the series, I watched "The Easter Egg Game". It was not long and very interesting. I recommend it!
No one has experienced the silence before madness. That kind of terror is silent and quietly penetrates into the bones. In fact, I have always thought The Moon and Sixpence was ridiculous. It did not move me to pursue my ideals, but made me think about loneliness for the first time. For the first time, I discovered that there was silence around me. Although I was making noises on the Internet, in real life, I was labeled as being out of place and unsociable, and I was kept away from people everywhere. And because of my parents' work, I was like a rootless duckweed, floating around. Wearing thick lenses, the most inconspicuous clothes, and an ordinary mask every day, I look like a person in a bag, and like what those people said when they laughed at me "I am the most individual person" But I personally don't have ideals. I once had them, but I found myself alone. I stopped chasing them and gradually forgot about them.
I was recommended by the author to read The Poor Monk and came back to chat... I really love kindness! Moreover, the leader is well-written and can be seamlessly integrated into the plot and emotional lines. The overall transformation of the leader and Shan Zai's feelings are so natural!!! So loving and kind
The articles tweeted by Dada are all good so far^ω^. It's so rare to see high-quality tweets. I want to continue to see Tweets from Dada. If you have time, please continue to tweet.
It's very well done, there are several books, and every book is very good. I picked a few books at random, and they are all very good. The strange thing is, why is it not popular?
Me too. I read books at a fast pace, but I often feel uncomfortable when I see the ending. It's like their story is still going on, but you can no longer accompany them. You only intervened in the first half of their lives, and they are still happy in the second half of their lives, but without you. This worry about gains and losses will always exist after reading a book. I keep thinking about it, and it is difficult for me to pull out of it and read the next book. It was often during that time that the memories of their relationship kept echoing in my mind, and I couldn't forget them. I often imagine that in those worlds, I can not be a bystander, but a participant and witness, accompanying them to the end of the world. That's why I like serialized stories, because they're not finished and I can watch them go on for a while. There is a sentence in the comment area that is so poignant. The story is so gorgeous that it makes reality look pale. I no longer care about the reality. Opening a book and sinking into it seems to be my only salvation.
Me too! OMG. It's hard to take it away after reading it, I'll keep thinking about it. A lot of my worldview was formed from various stories. That is to say, this year, I fell into the trap of Danmei and semi-reshaped my outlook on relationships. It is difficult to say "impact" without talking about whether the impact is large or not. Just like something you want to melt into your bones, you can't evaluate it. I feel very sad when I can't watch BE, and I keep wondering why they are like this. But HE is also very sad. Some of the stories are obviously very happy and heart-warming, but they can't stand it. They feel so uncomfortable. While laughing because of the stories, they feel sad at the same time. If there are no good stories, I will be very anxious. If a favorite story is coming to an end, I will be sad, as if I am trying to find a balance in anxiety. It's hard to describe this feeling. It's like, the story pulls you in, and then you're empty. The story is so gorgeous that the reality pales in comparison. I feel now that it doesn't matter if it exists in reality or not. What is true and what is false? It probably doesn't matter whether they exist or not. What matters is that they are real to me. The feelings are real. Enough. Even if I rely on this, it's enough. These stories are enough to give hope and beauty. (It seems a bit messy...)
You have recommended a deceitful article. In this case, let's hurt each other. I recommend Northwest, who is usually a drinker.
Ah! Why didn't I see salted fish rising a few years ago? When I watched it not long ago, I really wanted to see the male protagonist fall in love with Xiao Meng! But he only loves farming! 😂
Teacher, please tweet 555. I've been short of writers recently. But Brother Zhuge and Brother Huozi are really at odds with each other (bushi)
